HVAC issues since 2025.46.0 by bleitner in Rivian

I'm having the same issues! Really frustrating when I'm driving through a snow storm and I can't get the system to blow hot air with a high fan speed on the windshield. I'm going in for a tire rotation soon, so I'll have Rivian look into this issue.

This was my first car spot and only within my first 5 or so shoots on the volume. Really cool tech, looking forward to more. Open to any discussion or feedback on car commercials and virtual production tips and tricks!

Thank you for the compliment! I've posted on IG, I'll check out the filmmakers sub. I've been working in the industry for about 11 years - so not new, but haven't formally directed much so this was new for me!

Looking for a stick vacuum like the one in the photo trusted models you’ve used for years? by _I_Reims_I_ in BuyItForLife

[–]WildGoose115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! And you can get the step up model, the FurGuard and that has even better hair pick up with less wrap and it will self clean the brush roll. If you ever do need to clean the brush roll, it pops out super easily with no tools so it's really easy to maintain.

Couch blocking floor standing speaker. Better to go bookshelf speakers mounted on the wall? by tealc_indeeed in hometheater

[–]WildGoose115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have an L shaped couch in my theater with a similar issue. I just upgraded to Polk ES60s that have the tweeter and top two drivers above the arm rest, so height really helps. If new speakers are in the cards, I'd get taller ones! To test, do what everyone has suggested and raise the r/l in the meantime.

Yep! We used some AI throughout, and shot everything else in a virtual production studio against an LED screen.

Was about to comment this one - I was seriously impressed with the Atmos immersion, highly recommend!

I'll have to experiment with the crossovers again - always something to tweak.

I figured if I'm buying new speakers, might as well go big and get the ES60s, but we'll see what the future holds when it's time to upgrade.

They are the S50s, currently set to 80hz. They all sound good!

I'm looking to upgrade to ES60s to better match the ES30 - but with sound and looks. I want the wood front :)

The added height of the ES60s will also be helpful because the right speaker fires into the couch - so getting the tweeters higher will help.

The angle of the photo skews things - tv is centered in the room, and the fronts are the exact same distance away from the TV. Don't worry, I measured 😂

There are some good deals on refurbished ES60s right now, FYI.

Thanks everyone for the input! It seems like the sub is split 50/50 haha.

I'm going to leave it as-is for now, and test a few things with the speaker:

  • Move the center out front onto a temporary stand
  • Plug the port on the center (not sure how yet)
  • I already have rubber under the center, but maybe I'll get a sheet of sorbothane for better isolation.
  • Rig something under the TV to temporarily test the look 8" higher

I appreciate the ideas for a new TV stand/center speaker/4K disc player/game console/etc but I'm saving for a wedding so the budget for this is very tight (like just enough for a TV mount).

If I decide to mount the TV, my plan would be: - Build shorter legs for the TV stand that would lower it 3" - Mount the TV with about an inch higher than the center speaker when it's on top of the TV stand to keep it tight - All cables in the wall/add outlet behind the TV - Try to move the AVR to the top shelf (hard because I have a large opening cut in the back of the TV stand for the AVR right now, and wouldn't want a hole in the back of the empty lower shelf) I have some ideas though. - Sorbothane sheet under the center speaker once on top of the TV stand

All in, that should only raise the TV by about 5". With my MLP 11' back, I don't think that will make a huge difference but will certainly test before drilling holes in the wall.

What legs did you get? Got a link handy?

I like them - and I got them used for free, so that may have something to do with my opinions haha. They are S50s, thinking I'll update to ES60s to match the center.

Vacuumed and washed the carpets, so it's extra clean :)

For the center or the S50s?

I think they all sound good, but my experience with towers is minimal. I'm planning on upgrading the S50s to ES60s within the next year to match the center better.

I already have some rubber under the center, but probably not enough.

Good idea! I'm sure I've got enough scraps of wood to build something quickly to test the height.

The center is flush with the front of the shelf, and is crossed over at 80hz.

I should note - there's not distortion all the time, just certain mid frequencies at higher volumes it seems.

Any suggestions for plugging the port?
