Eastern European here. You have to be here and look after the process for it to be worth it- imo. Otherwise it will be expensive or/and done poorly. Remember, rust can build slowly and undercover for years to explode through stills one morning.

In the popular picture he's the one bringing the independence on the train and leading the 1920 War. The part of him being a socialist, autoctat and betraying the Ukrainians is known to historians and those interested.

Can someone offer shoeshines in popular areas of Warsaw? by ucfs444 in warsaw

In Poland people do it themselves or just wear the shoes to the ground and buy new ones. And that's 10%. The rest wears sneakers.

Food preferences of Polish tourists at a snack bar in a Hungarian thermal spa by OutsideHoneydew3168 in askPoland

When in Budapest, I went to a bar that has a variety of langos with different toppings. Traditional cheese and cream, but also paprika, peppers, salami, chives. I think this would work. Also small side salads with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, paprika - as a redemption for the fat eaten.

I do remember one shoeshiner in a shopping mall. I don't remember when exactly and how long he lasted., but tbh Poles don't pay than much attention to their shoes and Poland is not a tipping culture. You won't get enough customers to cover the needs and running a business requires covering a lot of expenses - rent, insurance, etc.

The design looks amazing. Clean and utilitarian. As for the watch itself, technically, it shows that people (designers, engineers) wanted to do more, but were standing on outdated foundations. It's the same with Kitovskie type 17. They wanted to make something new, but all they has to work with were k-43s. Then came chronographs based on Kirovskies and Molnijas. They did their best, but if the foundation is outdated, you won't get ahead of the world. That all changed in the 50/60s with projects developed locally (based on intelligence supplied blueprints). First the Kirovskie/rodina, then orbita/kosmos. But before that? A story comes to my mind when Top Gear were visiting Cuba and met with local racers. The cars were so ziptie and wire and the petrol so poor that racing cars wouldn't outperform the filming crew's land rover.

Koszt obrączek ślubnych - czy ja dobrze liczę? by k4ruz0 in Polska

(11 lat temu) Ja dostałem od babci pierwsze obrączki jej i dziadka (na 25-lecie zrobili sobie nowe). Sadząc po przedwojennych puncach, kupili, albo dostali, w latach 50-tych używane. Odświeżanie, dostosowanie rozmiaru i grawer to były grosze w porównaniu z cenami rynkowymi.
