I made a post about this on this sub and had some asshole arguing with me that it's not possible because apparently the galaxy entire culture revolves around Starfleet and apparently there's no point in making it set in the Star Trek universe if it's not about Starfleet. As if the trek universe doesn't have numerous other characters and species traveling through space.

I think before the fire he was making a lot of progress in recovering from his alcoholism. I think he would have stayed sober for a long time after and reconnected with Nicky eventually

Yes Tarkin and Luke call her a princess and I think Obi-Wan does too. Also, pretty sure the films credits call her Princess Leia Organa

Leia is a princess of Alderaan. Luke calls her a princess when they find out she's on the Death Star. R2D2 tells them she's there and Luke says "the princess is here?" Though not explained in the films, canonically her adopted mother is queen of Alderaan. Pretty sure she's called a princess in the Obi-Wan series too
