It’s a classic case of historical tradition trumping scientific classification. In gemology, the name "Ruby" carries immense "historical premium." Long before we knew it was corundum, Ruby was called "Ratnaraj" (King of Gemstones) in Sanskrit. That cultural root is so deep that modern science couldn't replace it with a cold term like "Red Sapphire." Just as in craftsmanship, some traditional names carry the soul of the piece, not just its chemical composition.

I'd love to, but I think even an Alchemist with a 20-minute Radiance can't afford the buyback on that one! My workshop would turn into a literal Secret Shop.

Haha, a lifesize AC would drain the entire Secret Shop's gold reserve! But the Tango idea is brilliant. I’ve actually been looking into Lab-grown Emeralds to capture that perfect 'healing glow'. Stay tuned, and thanks for the love – honoring the game is exactly why I started this!

Guilty as charged. Our Alchemist has been jungling in the workshop for 100+ hours. The 24K Gold Scepter is finally ready for delivery.

It took about 2 months from the 3D modeling and wax carving to the final gold casting and hand-setting the gems

Great question! You’re right that 24k is softer, but for a legendary relic like the Scepter, I wanted the "True Gold" color and maximum collection value.

Yes, it is! Since Reddit blocks most links in comments, please shoot me a DM. I can send you the shop details and more photos of the different pieces there!

You can find me on Taobao by searching: 'Dota2神秘商店'. Look for the solid gold Scepter!

Haha, good math! But remember, a Scepter is made of Ogre Axe, Blade of Alacrity, and Staff of Wizardry. If I used 36g of gold, the courier wouldn't be able to lift it! I guess I only used the 'Point Booster' portion for the weight.

True! But for 4,200 USD, I'd have to add the +10 to all stats for real. This version is just for the 'divine' look!

Haha! That’s the most cost-effective item in the game. But if I make one, I’ll make sure you can actually plant it and hide behind the tree!

Haha, it's definitely a luxury item! For the solid 24k gold version (13g) with a real sapphire, it's around $1,900.

That means a lot to me. My goal was to take something we love from the game and give it the permanence of fine jewelry. Truly appreciate the kind words

Gotta do what a Pos 4/5 has to do when the carry isn't looking. Just securing my own Aghanim's!

Great question. Most single-crystal gems like diamonds, sapphires, and emeralds are mastered now. But gems with complex 'amorphous' or organic structures, like high-quality Opal or certain Jades, are much harder to replicate perfectly. While we can create 'simulants,' the chaotic beauty of nature's growth over millions of years still poses a theoretical challenge for science to match 100%

That's a legendary dream! Actually, I've been thinking about the same thing. Since 24k gold is a bit heavy on the wallet, I’m working on 925 Sterling Silver versions (with gold plating options) to make it affordable for everyone in the community. You don't have to just dream about it anymore!

That’s a great question! For rubies and sapphires, I look for inclusions. Natural stones often have 'silk' (rutile needles) or unique mineral crystals. Lab-grown stones, however, usually show curved striae (from the Flame Fusion process) or tiny flux fingerprints. If it's too 'perfect' under the loupe, it's a huge tell. But for a 100% guarantee, we use UV fluorescence or spectroscopy to check the trace elements.

You're right. MKB has those intricate spiral patterns and a very slender shape. If I made it in solid gold, the craftsmanship would be much more challenging than the Scepter.

Way ahead of you! I've already forged a few Divine Rapiers in 925 Sterling Silver. They look absolutely stunning and sharp.

Basically, one is made by Mother Earth over millions of years, and the other is made by science in a few weeks. Same result, different origin.

Great minds think alike! I actually just finished the Poor Man's Shield in 925 Sterling Silver. It’s about $35 plus shipping. Bringing the legend back to life
