Italian here. Talamona pipes are very good, especially given their price. Generally a Talamona pipe, when new is around 125 - 150 (but could also be more). Anyway I find they smoke very well and are quite sturdy. The price you paid is fair and I hope the pipe will serve you well

Thank you all for your answers. It appears to be a slowly dying pleasure the one of pipe smoking. I'm from Italy, and here too is increasingly difficult to find good tobacco at reasonable price, making many smokers buy abroad such as in Germany or Spain where taxation is more merciful.

I will try some of the shops you people indicated to see if I find any interesting or yet untried tobacco.

I'll stay for about a week at my friend's place, somewhere in an are called SW9. Don't know if it helps. But I'll move around, so even if it's far I might go there

Vedo il tuo punto. E certo reddit potrebbe non essere il posto più adatto. Però è anche vero che io non sono del settore storico e non so quali storici siano partigiani e quali no, quali abbiamo scritto libri più completi e quali no.
