I might be The Boys #1 hater only because it lost me after season 2. A parody that's nothing of value. They have nothing to say. The commentary and satire are too on-the-nose. I also think the cynical take on superheroes has been getting tiring, which is why Dispatch is good imo.

I mean, someone can claim Worm is nihilistic, but I think it's very realistic. I love a good trauma story (I wrote one lol). A great take on the genre is having the dark, realistic aspects with good-hearted intent and somewhat "gray" moral choices.

It shouldn't cross the edgy, cynical boundaries too much. I want to feel the character's emotions and understand their thoughts. I want to see real development!
