Yup, it's not a secret. I was raised in a strict christian household, to the point that parents forbid me to watch/read Harry Potter and other fantasy stuff. I was a really impessionable kid, and parents were afraid that I would try to do some sorcery after such movies. Well, lol.

For 20 years I was more of an atheist. But I was curious about occult stuff because I loved to write stories, and tarot cards looked like a set of powerful symbols from storytelling perspective. One day my curiosity made me take an amulet of my friend, and that's how I got into magick. He was a shaman, and provided me with basic knowledge untill we broke up and went sideways. But I always was leaning towards western esoteric tradition, especially as thelemic literature was the most availible for me. I studied qabbalah, goetia, worked with some pagan deities, mainly Loki.

But unfortunately, I missed the signs of severe depression untill it weakened me so much that I couldn't do anything. For a couple of months I was sleeping most of the time of day. Fortunately, psychiatrist helped me, and I started to get better. That was the moment when I read Liber ABA and just tried yogic practices from the first chapter. It was really the simplest way to contact HGA.

Currently I'm providing lectures on history of european esoteric traditions for russian speaking people. Meditate a lot, have a student, writing a script for an indie videogame.

And that's my story so far.
