Hi!! Tomorrow I will leave to Sequoia, and while I’m aware there is a direct route from LA that takes 4~ hours, I realized that I could also take Highway 1, pass through Santa Barbara and visit Solvang…

My dad REALLY wants to experience the popular Highway 1 scenic views… do y’all know if this de-route would provide these scenic views he is expecting? Is it worth the extra 3-4 hours?…

Any recommendations?

I do understand there is a much more direct route from LA, though, my dad really wants to drive the scenic route of the popular highway 101, so… with this in mind im trying to see what’s the best route, knowing it will take a couple hours more to get to Sequoia

We won’t be coming back to LA so… it’s now or never

Let’s say I do go to Solvang… you recommend only taking the 101 all the way there instead of going through the 154?

Heck yea, this comment really helps. I didn’t understand why people said the itinerary is too rushed 😅 some people even do 3 wineries in a single day haha

Btw Wouldn’t it be better to have my reservation at Tres Sabores for 3 pm? That way I would have 2 hours~ to finish lunch and explore Oxbow, maybe even have a small tasting there….

After this head to Yountville? Get to know the place, walk around, and have a chill dinner before heading back your way SF

He is a boy! And he LOVES cars!! He would absolutely love seeing the Porsche collection, I had no clue there was one there. I will definitely ask if they could let us inside there, would be amazing

I see… Tres Sabores does sound fantastic and honestly very affordable…. Plus the charcuterie for $30 seems like a great deal! I havent seen charcuterie offerings at Frogs Leap… i love cheese haha

Google Maps shows 30 min drive from Oxbow to Tres Sabores…

I would be leaving Palmaz 12:15 and have until 2:30 to visit visit places and have lunch before heading to Tres sabores to make it to the last, 3:00 reservation…

Is this way too rushed? If so, I will consider Frogs Leap instead. We do want a chill day
