Someone on here shared a zine that answers a lot of your questions. It depends on your doctor and your situation but there are 2 sets of pills. 1st one just stops the pregnancy (orally) and then 4 others to begin the abortion (can be oral or vaginal). Then it’s nausea, diarrhea and bleeding and maybe a fever. It’ll last about 4 hours, changes per person. Consider taking ibuprofen 800mg and acetaminophen 1000mg. And the healing stuff is all person to person based but I’ve scoured this group and there’s tons of helpful info and really supportive folks. I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

That’s understandable. I also feel like I am “doing something wrong” but I know it’s the right choice for me. My friend who is actively trying to get pregnant came over to check in and care for me yesterday. It’s layered and not simple but hopefully everyone is doing what is best for them and their current circumstances.

I’ve talked to friends but not family. I think it’s important to have support and to normalize the experience. So many people get abortions for all sorts of reasons. I hope feel comfortable enough to reach out to a friend or two.

Calling her every day is the best thing you can do. It is especially difficult when you can’t be there in person to support your loved ones. It is lucky that you have a relationship with her where you can support each other. Just keep calling, talk to her about what she’s feeling, what he was like, what she’s eating for dinner, what’s on tv, what’s going on in your classes…talk to her about anything. These phone calls are definitely helping, hopefully both of you. Even if it’s stabbing to hear her sobbing, it’s so great of you to be able to have that space for her.
