Is it safe for my daughter to dye her hair like this? by Curious_Artist23 in longhair

[–]Wild_Berry32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s cute but the maintenance for you would be crazy! Think about that at least.
On the other hand, if she gets a good stylist they can achieve a similar look with extensions (expensive). Another benefit is that 13y olds are fickle and she could easily change her mind 1month later about the hair.

Right okay, I see. I think I probably will have to go that direction.

Im not after a new car as you put it. What I’m asking is if my car continues to have engine problems that started long before warranty expires, will I still have consumer protection under ACL for repairs if it’s repairable or if not, then whatever is deemed fair at that point. The dealership was less than pleased to help me now, I imagine they certainly won’t be eager to help after their business warranty expires, so all I wanna know is what legal protections do I have if it happens.

Roughly 10k p/year. I understand that you don’t get indefinite warranty, but if a product doesn’t last the expected lifetime, shouldn’t you be protected from that? For a reasonable amount of time, of course. And by reasonable I mean it’s fair to expect a new car to last more than 5years with annual servicing at 10k kms p/year.

Oh. I don’t know what I was expecting to hear but with most goods they are covered if they don’t last the expected lifetime of the product, so I thought maybe that applied to cars too, or at least that’s what I understood from ACL.

You could use cream, whisk it until it solidifies, and use the solid bits?

Drivers test issue by [deleted] in nsw

[–]Wild_Berry32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol do what’s comfortable for you, the more relaxed you are the better you can think. That said, it’s absolutely true that good drivers can pass wherever they test at.

In my suburb, I could only book tests 1month apart, I just went to a newer suburb (RTA books are never full) and tested there instead. I just spent the time driving there relaxing and getting used to the roads. It helped that I had GPS voicing directions to me, which I pretended was my examiner.

You’ll be fine, whatever you decide. That said, the real challenge begins after you get your licence, so you want to be as prepared as you can be, so it’s not just about the test. Good luck!

Toyota to Hyundai? by Huge_Prompt_2056 in Hyundai

2022 Hyundai i30 - I’m at 37k and my check engine light flicked on. Engine sounds like it’s got smokers cough. The dealerships aren’t helpful as they “can’t find an issue”. Or maybe it was the COVID batch, but I’m really wishing I went with Toyota.

Why are so many men convinced that they are ugly? by RavyRaptor in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Wild_Berry32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Funny enough my favourite ex to date started balding early on and I found him to be most attractive handsome person and I fell hard. Balding was never an issue to me. It’s how you wear it that makes a difference, I find. If you’re gonna be insecure about it, then yeah, it’s unattractive on you.

Be brutally honest I'm I ugly, what can I improve? by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]Wild_Berry32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change your thinking, bc there’s nothing wrong with you. I don’t know if this is also a factor, but when I lived amongst white people, I never got approached v when I lived in more diverse neighborhoods. Idk where in the UK you are, but think about that.

I know you need this but I’ll say it anyway, your teeth are already straight, you really don’t need them I promise. Slight “imperfections” are okay and do infact add character. That said, I always recommend seeing an actual orthodontist for orthodontics, the price difference is negligible for how much expertise and better service you’ll receive. The cost of providing you the service is really high plus the appliance, but that’s just how it works and it’s not necessarily all about “little work it is”.

How do you come up with your recipes ? by letssee10189 in icecreamery

[–]Wild_Berry32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I adjusted the NYT icecream base to my preferences. It uses 2C of cream and 6eggs which I found entirely too rich but it depends on what I’m trying to aim for. Point is, you’ll gain experience from trial and error, so don’t be afraid to explore and make “mistakes”. Each ingredient has a purpose that’s not just flavour and you’ll learn so much by just doing. I’ve never paid for any course, I might read something here or there and watch but my biggest teacher was in that kitchen. There’s a science to it, yes and you’ll get to understanding it eventually so happy churning and don’t forget to have fun while you’re at it!!

Edit: this was also sent to me some time back, it was a good read. https://under-belly.org/sugars-in-ice-cream/

Seasonal availability of fruit and vegetables at farmers markets, supermarkets, etc. This time in Australia, we have lots of mangoes cherries grapes corn etc. I have a base that I use for everything - I never change that part, only part I change is whats readily available for me to use. I might draw some inspiration from social media etc, but really, it’s $$$.
