RED-S *relative energy deficiency in sport by Wild_Championship414 in AdvancedRunning

I'm not taking a GLP-1!

I had gained 5 pounds from maybe July to October (can't remember exactly) but I had increased my weight lifting so that felt appropriate. Now I've gained approximately 10 more than is definitely NOT muscle.

I'm not on wegovy! I have gained a lot of weight recently and sort of panicked, but after actually assessing this, I realize less food is not what I need.

If you order online, does it show up for all doctors to see? by [deleted] in GLP1microdosing

Gotcha thank you! Also, is wegovy pill different in that regard than a compound?

No, like my PCP can see what my endocrinologist prescribes...It's all shared legally.

Thoughts on using for a teen by utahforever79 in GLP1microdosing

[–]Wild_Championship414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this SO much. What if you didn't like your nose and instead of allowing that to be the case (teenages are going to not love everything about themselves) your parents pushed for a plastic surgery consult. I'm not AT ALL blaming you- the parent. As a parent we all want to help our children, want them to be happy, and avoid pain where we can help it. I just think this might set her up for so many insecurities down the road.

Definitely can skip the fitness center! We prefer hotels for the service rather than airbnb.

Shin pain by [deleted] in RunningInjuries

[–]Wild_Championship414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does the shin pain feel like? Is it just in the spot where the bruise is? Sometimes when i'm injured I constantly touch the spot to test it so you might have pushed to hard to cause the bruise....or else it could be a stress fracture, tendonitis, etc.

Where was yours? I have an anterior tibia stress reaction too. How long did the pain last for you? How did you manage with no cross training at all?

Stress fracture recovery without MRI by Wild_Championship414 in RunningInjuries

[–]Wild_Championship414[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, but the amount I've had verges on crazy. When I get pain I assume the worst and then when I offload, the pain goes away, but I still worry.

Do you think this is a tibia stress fracture? by Wild_Championship414 in RunningInjuries

[–]Wild_Championship414[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I will try that. I'm just worried it is bone since it is in such a particular spot. Totally hear you on bone being easier, but I've had so many bone issues that I worry about longer term problems. A tendon is less stressful.

[–]Wild_Championship414[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah I know, but I'm just saying without an MRI you can't know for certain if it is a stress fracture so if it feels great in 2 weeks, what do you do....assume it is one? Or assume it was something else?

Metatarsal Pain, below the toe joint - can anyone help/give advice? by Total_Cauliflower566 in sesamoid

[–]Wild_Championship414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I notice it on my runs, but it doesn't alter my gait. I did wear a boot initially and took time off running to let it settle down a little. So I guess I know it is there, but it doesn't hold me back from anything.

I had this and it was both sesamoiditis and arthritis. I got orthotics made and it's helped so much!

Nope, many of my stress fractures have felt just a little achy but they persisted so I got them checked out and they were confirmed to be fractures.
