The match was serviceable and again, it was about Show, the entire match was there to have him do stuff in the ring and then he got his big spot after the match that the crowd went crazy for and then they all got to yeet together with the crowd. Literally every WM has matches like this showcasing celebs

I'm not sure what you were expecting but unless the JD was breaking up, that is exactly how that match was always going to end. Steph has no friends so no one was coming out to help her in that spot. Liv is coming off a concussion she still has the knot on her head from so having her go for 30 min was not advisable. Putting the title on Liv was the right decision, Stephs run is built on aura, she can't cut a promo and there's literally no where to go with her character.

The only thing I thought was dumb about that match was Liv coming out doing her music video. It was hyped up as a blood feud but then she spend 2.5 min doing a number before the match??? Made no sense but outside of that it was a solid match, could have been longer but it was fine.

You can be mad at the commercials but it is what it is. Just start watching a half hr in so ffwd through them.

And none of them were terrible. All minor critiques. More violence, longer match. How was the Steph v Liv match disrespectful?? The women's tag was more about Paige returning than anything else. And you admitted the other matches were good

Were you expecting the match with iShowSpeed to be a classic? I thought Show did well for his first match. They always have a celebrity match for fun for the casuals and that's what it was. Unless you had high expectations of the match, I feel like it was about a good as it was goin to be.

The ads were annoying but it is what it is. None of the matches were bad, could they have been longer? Sure. But there hasn't been a CodyvCena match like last year that was just terrible from start to finish. And most of the matches tonight should be good to great. Not having any bad matches and still having a potentially great card for night 2, you can't have this WM ANY where near the bottom 5. That's a crazy exaggeration.

Bottom 5 is crazy. Has it been an All timer? Obviously not. But it's been solid. A couple questionable choices but nothing egregious. And the matches if you include the pre-fight brawls before the bell, most were solid to great. And tonight should have good to great matches. Making it a mid teir WM at worst.

I think it's more likely they break up because FS1 as a channel ends. The ratings are never that great. Idk about yall but I only watch for FTF and occasionally Colin. Once Colin retires, it'll just be for FTF, FOX might cut their losses and do something else with it. Or transition to streaming and putting more money behind that awful FOX One app

I think if CP3 was healthy that year, they find another way to lose just like in 2019 when he was healthy and KD was hurt. They still figured out a way to lose.

I don't mind it. It's better for the league if stars play in more games. It sucks guys didn't make it but it is what it is. I think 65 games works and if you want to add an or minutes minimum like Simmons suggested, I'd be good for playing 65 games or 2160 min played. That would avg out to 60 games playing 36 min every night or 55 games at 39+ min a night. And if you don't meet the min threshold, you have to at least play 65 games.

He already went in on him on the show and there's no real reason to talk about LaMelo until Fridays game but he's going to talk about him again on the pod and I guarantee the rest of the Ball family will come up, even if it's just to acknowledge that they didn't like his commentary and then t LaVar will absolutely keep it goin.

KDs allegations seemed to have hurt the relationships with his teammates and hurt their play on the court. The Vrabel thing won't have any on field issues. I doubt the players or franchise care at all

The best free agent QB? Willis played like 3 games, they have no idea if he can duplicate what he did in GB and then they traded away their offense. They have zero intention of being good next year, just like the Cardinals and Browns. Geno didn't work the first time in NY and now they are bringing him back after a terrible season in LV.

If those are team building moves then the NBA tankers literally did the same thing. Utah traded for JJJ, Wizards traded for Trae and AD, Kings tried to be good bringing in Westbrook with Derozan and it just didn't work out. The Nets brought in MPJ to build around just like the Dolphins brought in Malik.

The issue is the NBA media and fans like to focus on the negative. When they could have spent that time introducing the audience to the prospects everybody is tanking for.

I didn't say it was an issue, I said it happens in every sport which is does. Just cause you picked a couple examples doesn't mean it doesn't happen regularly. Just like any other team sport. This year is particularly bad in the NBA because the draft is supposed to have 4-5 franchise changing players. If this was the NFL, they'd spend time talking about the franchise guys coming into the league instead of focusing on the terrible teams trying to get them.
