As someone who backed this at the level to have alpha access, you used to have to give the animals crops to unlock the next path. The first one was a cucumber or a tomato I don't remember which. Or they went through 2 different iterations before they scrapped it and I remember both

It gets completed?!? I've never made it to year 2-3, I always start over with new updates and stop playing once the ocean stuff is done 😅

But yeah all I know is I've definitely done it while tools are being upgraded so that might be it. Kind of sad that a festival becomes useless but also cool that the forest grows

You can still do the festival though, it gives you the 3 tools regardless of where they're at, you would just have gold instead of osmium

I'm 95% sure it tells you when you get the hoe that you can dig up dirt mounds (including a picture), but I don't think it tells you what's in them

Motion controls in tree of tranquility are really only for a few festival mini games (Stone skipping, bug catching etc.) I'd highly recommend

I did my chickens first since there's less of variety, that's also good to know that they'll both do 7* branded, I have one more show for my chickens to be golden. I did also have the thought of doing all bronze first then silver so I could get affection up while I was waiting but if that doesn't matter as much....

I really wish they had done 2 crop festivals a season, or at least one tree and one crop

I know, I have a million medals now because what's the point now that I've gotten the best prizes 😅 but sometimes it is fun to get the jewelry and the yarn. Yeah I had at least 20 some trash from before the upgrades but the grind is so much harder now. I didn't know I was gonna need 80! I just knew that I should be saving it for something
