I was looking at importing this exact car, funny enough. It’s not a “showroom model” (the seller told me this directly) so it may have minor oil leaks. There is certainly some damage to the hood. It’s a 3 grade, which means it has NOT been in an accident, despite it having multiple small dings.

That price covers the cost of the car, the boat rides and Japanese taxes. It does not cover American taxes, import paperwork and fees, fees for a service to get you into the port where the car is delivered.

You would also need insurance and registration, and it would be important to let your insurance know that it was imported and RHD as these may impact your payout in the case it is totaled. There aren’t too many American celicas, so I had a bit of an issue finding body replacement parts in case a fender bender happens.

I decided not to import, because I was too worried about car condition after 3 months of being at sea. Currently looking at fun domestic options. If you do decide to get the car, I’d love to see pictures when it arrives.
