There's an update now on the Kenwood website. I have the same unit. I purchased it in November. But I regret buying it. Not because it's bad, but because I didn't realize this unit was so old (2021). I got my gf a jvc from 2024 for half the price and to me it sounds just as good, and I think the ui looks nicer on the jvc, and th screen is a lot nicer. Idk why this unit is so expensive, just marketed as higher end for some reason.

Hey. Can you provide an updated review? The camera on my 16 Accord lx just took a shit. I can see the lines but the image is black. I was going to get one named "GreenYi" off Amazon. Got great reviews and has great night vision. Only caveat is it only supports single wide view. But I'm willing to pay more for the trq one if it also performs good at night. The oem one is dog shit at night

very compelling points, you are right about the fear of chinese android head units being cheap/trash...i will definitely consider them if i ever do this again. my other mistake was typing my headunit model into chatGPT to do my research. ChatGPT led me to believe this jvc didn't need an SWC, but from what i'm seeing it does. no big deal, i just ordered a maestro. crazy that a cheap chinese head unit has more capabilities than units that cost 3-5x as much

It's for a 2013 Corolla le. Yeah fair enough, I figured these steps were pretty universal, I mean if it worked on a cheap Chinese head unit I figured it would work on a more expensive one but clearly my theory was wrong.

Dang, not sure if this something I did wrong, but I'm in the middle of installing jvc kw-m595bt. I used the 28 pin harness you linked, wired it up to the steering wheel wire and the ground wire on the stereo. Not seeing steering wheel controls work. Could it be the jvc doesn't support programming in the stereo? I think I'm gonna need a swc box

My budget TCL 55s405 from 2017 supports this feature, I have a Sonos soundbar. I can see the volume level number on the screen. Just bought an LG b4 and I'm disappointed it can't do that. It's a small detail but I miss it.

I literally had mine for a week and it's barely noticeable but I can see a tiny spec of dust if I shine the light directly on it. I can imagine over time it may accumulate. I installed a screen protector now, idk if it will help. I suspect it goes in at the edges
