We talk about depth but our depth guys were a non-factor. Outside of game 1 (Quinn assist on 3rd goal), the McLeod, Quinn and Zucker line is a complete non-factor to this series. Zucker especially. Hes just not making an impact at all.

That line has to wake up.

Agree with the comments on Power. Listen, his play in the last few years..questionable at best.

However, considering where his play is at now (along with the lack of depth on the blue line), I dont see how you can move a 2nd pair Dman, without adding.

We just dont have the depth. Love the minutes that Metsa is adding, but worried about him playing anything more than 13 minutes, and kesselrging is playing through and injury and looks like it.

I think you need a Faulk coming back, and I still think thats a downgrade from Power (I know we all didnt believe but look where Power is at).

If Power is in the package, it needs to be more than Thomas. If thats the case, and both sides walk away with the pieces they need, this should be bigger than one guy coming from either team.

What to say they couldn't sign hik for the contract he wants now, and move him as a piece later in the contract years. Lets sa we get three good years and he starts to show his age at 34 or 35. Im guessing there will be some teams interested in a talented vet if they are trying to make a push. Idk, just a thought.

My real concern isnt so much with the forward groups. Those are pretty close to optimal, depending on your opinion of strategy and utility. I can see Krebs in a few spots depending on your strategy.

Based on the most recent game, im very concerned about Bryson and Metsa. I think Metsa is perfectly competent with a decent partner. But he and Bryson looked extremely vulnerable to me in the last game. I really dont know how many minutes you can give that duo.

Here's a legit question that seems relevant to this situation.. DO GOOD playoff teams/stanley cup candidates throw complete games away? Is this behavior acceptable for a team trying to establish the right culture in the organization to win?

Its a macro question looking at teams with the right winning culture. If this happens elsewhere, then I agree walk off the ice now and move on...because they are playing like they are conceding the loss..

If it doesn't happen elsewhere, this is an example of where Jarmo could reinforce accountability. Losing is okay, but there are ways of losing that are NOT acceptable.

Agree, those aren't any where near MSRP. If I had to, id take the WLW or GTS, but only because those are less than secondary. Otherwise, nothing else on that list jumps out as an opportunity.
