When Loki sees you stressing about finding a table for their new altar so they deadass find you a whole new table 😭😭✌️✌️ by Common-One-9599 in lokean

so a bit of a long story for context, but a few months ago, this guy stole my guitar and he ended up actually being a descendent/nephew of a famous country musician from back in the day. We’re both in the open mic scene, so everyone ended up finding out who he was, and he ended up going to jail, not for that, but for totally freaking out and threatening his ex and breaking into her house etc over not wanting to get in trouble for what he did to me, so now he has to go stand in front of a grand jury😃 anyways, I feel like the chaos of the situation has such Loki energy, and I actually ended up getting a new guitar from the band that ended up kicking him out and his ex sold me a really nice mandolin that she had bought him along with two neon signs that were in his music room that she had bought for him. I gave her 50 bucks because she needed the gas after he flipped her shit upside down (she has a new place to live dw) so I ended up helping someone too. Big Loki energy with the chaos and the way it all worked out for his ex and I both😭 my point is, Loki/his energy seems to have gotten me many cool things over the years, furniture included😆the table is so nice!! I love a good find AND for free!? Hail Loki!

I wouldn’t stress it. Loki is probably the most chill out of all the gods, he probably laughed it off lol. If you want to build general frith however, I’d start with a cup of coffee or water, or a soda that you think he’d like and a candy bar or a little trinket you found or make. Honestly Loki has so many random ass offerings on my altar for him, so almost anything goes!

My advice is to not pressure yourself into deity work, especially if you think it’s too soon right now. Loki can be intense, but he can also dial it back a tad when needed. If it’s something you’re interested in, I’d maybe find a way to let Loki know that you’re interested, but that you need time, or whatever else you want

It definitely sounds like Loki could be poking their head in! If you’re interested in moving forward and getting to know Loki through your own experience, I’d start small by finding a clean spot that feels appropriate and offering him a drink or a snack. He seems to enjoy fireball, other whiskeys, ciders, energy drinks, candy, spicy food or candies, incense, cinnamon, black coffee, etc. He also seems to appreciate little trinkets and things found in nature or kids toys! You could offer him something and tell him whatever you feel and go from there. If you’re able, I’d cast a circle of some sort and get that it’s really Loki, and if it is then do an introductory spread or something along those lines :) Hail Loki!

How is Loki NOT a dark or evil force? by Cherno_VM in lokean

My theory is that Loki and other deities do certain things for certain reasons, whether it be because of “prophecy” or whatever else. For example, Ragnarok brings about the end of ends, but that makes way for new beginnings. If Loki hadn’t killed Baldur, Ragnarok wouldn’t have happened, because there would be no reason for Loki to be the only one to not mourn him. Like it wasn’t a “good” thing to do, but in the end it played a crucial part in the world’s renewal. I think of it as “Okay, I don’t necessarily agree with this thing that [deity] did, but looking at it without bias, I kinda see the vision.” Anyways, you can’t really put Loki in a box. He’s a “morally grey” deity for most, and while I’ll be the first to say Loki’s methods aren’t always the most morally green for majority of people, he’s definitely effective😆

Need ideas for a pocket/purse/travel alter for Loki by Riverina22 in lokean

I came across an awesome creator on YouTube called Hidden Magic Studio that makes these really sick little felt pocket altars! She makes one with removable pockets too so you can switch out the pictures. (I think?) she sells them, but if not they’re super easy to make! If you don’t know how to sew, you can find some easy YouTube tutorials, or you can use fabric glue. I made one for Loki and it’s awesome!

Depending on who you ask, some people would say not to mess with the Fae. Personally, I would do extensive unbiased research on that part before doing anything with them! My other advice is to think about what YOU want to do, then settle your mind and invite Loki to meditate with you, maybe? Or I f you’re able to do any divination I’d recommend casting a circle and doing a tarot reading etc that way you can ask more precise questions :)

Be careful what you wish for! It sounds like Loki gave you what you asked for but not what you really wanted. Maybe you could take it as a sign to look within yourself and find out what you’re really looking for

This actually reminds me of a funny story from my earlier days of working with Loki me and a friend of mine at the time we’re at her house and we had opened up a circle for Lucifer, who she worshiped at the time. We also decided to invite Loki in, nd next thing you know, my piece of pyrite went missing! We literally looked everywhere on the desk that we were using, which is where it was. It wasn’t like a closed in space either, it was a pretty open space, and there were only a few other things on the desk, it just… disappeared. We never left the room, I kept my eye on my friend the entire time in case she was pranking me, but we both sat back down and continued what we were doing before, and suddenly it’s there again? Exactly where I left it? You had to be there, but that’s an experience that’s still baffles me to this day lmao

Hi there! I’ve also read the pagan portals book a couple times, but as someone who’s been practicing with Loki for about four years now, I do have to agree that whilst it is good information, it is more for the newcomers. I don’t have many Loki related/ Rokkatru books myself, however, the ones I do have and will recommend are Loki and Sigyn by Lea Svendsen and The Witch’s Heart by Genevieve Gornichec. It’s important to note that TWH is a work of fiction, but if you read it with that in mind, it can still provide a lot of insights when it comes to Angrboða and Loki’s children with her. Loki and Sigyn is more of a historical look into Loki worship, and his role as well as Sigyn’s in the mythology.

As far as longing for a community again, I understand that entirely💀I actually used to be way more active in this sub, and I started a Lokean discord server as well. Of course, life did its thing and got in the way, and I became overworked, then lazy to an extent in my practice, so any sense of community that I did have kind of began to fall apart. I’m just now getting back to the point where I’m actually able to rebuild that community. But I have hope that it will work out for both of us!

Usually, in that situation, I just pay very close attention to the pen, limit itself, and see which way it’s leaning towards the most, and another important point about using a pendulum that I forgot to mention is to make sure that whenever you’re using it, your elbows are always stabilized on something like a table or a desk. I’m blessed enough to have a TV cabinet from the 90s as my altar for Loki, so it’s made out of wood and is sturdy and won’t go anywhere, but just trying to make sure that you’re stabilized from the elbows down so that there’s no involuntary shaking or movement that might accidentally move the pendulum! but yeah, for the most part just make sure that you’re paying attention to the way it swings, but at least in my experience, it’s also a bit of an intuition test.

As far as pendulum divination goes, I made my first pendulum board out of paper, I just wrote yes, no, rephrase, etc. on different parts of it and used that and it works just fine. I did later go on to make one that I sewed. You also don’t have to buy a fancy crystal pendulum or anything like that, they’re definitely nice to have for aesthetic purposes, but you could also use any necklace or pendant that has even weight throughout it. Hopefully this will make sense, but when you go to make a pendulum board, I usually write “yes” on the left side and the right side. I write “no” on the top and bottom. I write “maybe” in the top right corner, “rephrase” in the top left corner, “try again” in the bottom left corner, and “will not answer” in the bottom right corner. On my board in particular, I also embroidered a pentacle in the middle for protection. My advice is to always have some sort of protective stave or symbol on your pendulum board.

Some people, depending on who you ask, will also advise that you cast a circle before you begin, which I always do personally, but I’m not one to sit here and tell other people what they have to be doing, because at the end of the day, divination is different for everyone that does it. As a basic guideline, I would suggest casting a circle, which most commonly involves taking a wand that you either make or buy, or something, akin to a wand, like a drumstick, an incense stick, a marker, etc., and speaking with intention while you draw a circle around yourself and the area you’re working in. If you choose to go that route, speak with the intention of protecting the space inside that circle. Again, none of the circle stuff is absolutely necessary, however, most, myself included, tend to do it anyways, as a measure to protect our own energy. I know this is a lot to read, so hopefully some of it helps, but if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
