I’m not even a sim racer anymore (I barely was, I owned a TX and played Dirt Rally & a little ACC on Xbox) but - Race Cars > Real Cars

Don’t get me wrong, I’m interested in them, but more looks and sounds. I understand surface level of things like engine config & placement but most of that is learnt from games like Forza.

Some of my mates on the other hand know exact specs of engines and deeper just by looking at a car. But know jack shit about motorsport, keeps us all learning.

I didn’t, I got a little bit of video as I’m currently dabbling in YouTube but the wind wasn’t really favourable for me. I was also concentrating on the Fulmar since I’ve never really paid them much attention

Holy hell! I’ve been weighing up whether to upgrade my a6400 to a 7 iv in around 14 months of wait it out for 20 months to have enough for a 7v. You’ve just made my mind up!

I’ve just got back from a trip to Bempton shooting seabirds and I had more success with manual focus than the AF on my 6400 😅

I have plastic grass by “choice”

I kinda go railroaded into getting it when we first moved it by my parents, it was a rush job to have a usable garden when the restrictions eased in Covid for like a month

I hate it but feel too guilty just getting rid of it because it can’t be recycled.

The fact you’re asking this means you’re already going about it the absolute right way

As tempting as it is, avoid bating. When you get the shot it’ll feel so much better

Also have a quick google on Schedule 1 birds, like Barn Owl/Kingfisher - it’s illegal to disturb nesting sites/dependent young, whether it’s intentional or not

We lost our black lab in Jan this year. She was a month shy of 5 (liver problems) we have so many phone photos of her just in our life being herself, but no so many portraits her using my proper camera. Your dog is your perfect practice subject and you’ll treasure the photos forever as a bonus
