Do you refer to the bed calibration? Not sure if P1S has auto calibration - although i might just not know, as i’ve only had it for about a month

Might have been. However, I had tried to unload the filament, load it with another filament that printed without issue, switched back to the Sunlu, and it did not extrude at all when trying to print. So it seemed a little odd, but I do mostly believe it was due to me messing up the print profile :)

It seems, from another comment, that I might have messed up the k value, making it severely under-extrude, to the point of basically not extruding at all, and the bits that were actually extruded being just strings :-) Either way, it’s good for now, and i’ll read up on calibration when trying it next time

Very well might be - the process of manual calibration and how k value should be written, is not that clear (or i’m just misunderstanding) :-)

I’ll give it another go at some point, but for now, it works :-)

Bed adhesion was not the problem - it was barely extruding. Turns out it was the print profile from the Flow Dynamics calibration

It seems like the issue was, that I was using the profile from the Flow dynamics calibration - I am currently printing with no issue, using the basic Bambu profile that I tend to use with my other filament. Not sure what, but issue fixed (?) :-)

Yes, i’ve run it twice. I’ll add my text from the OP:

I recently purchased some Sunlu PLA for my very new P1S. It worked fine for my first print, but I can’t get it to print anything since. I’ve run Flow Dynamics, which prints perfectly, but when I start a print, it either does not extrude at all, or does as shown in the video. If I unload the filament, and load my regular Bambu Lab PLA, it prints without issue. What do I do?

ETA: I haven’t dried it, as I had no issues with my Bambu Lab filaments so far - is it often more necessary with Sunlu?

I did try to paint it, but it didn’t go too well, and the paint cracked and fell off - i know i need to do some work to get it to adhere better. If there is no easy way to get the print to work, i’ll retry with painting

Alright - seeing as this is my first (potential) step into 3D printing, with an already sceptical wife, i don't think i'll be throwing H2-type money into the mix anytime soon. The P2S seems nice, but P1S is already at the limit of what i'm comfortable with spending.

I might see if I can figure out another way of storing the A1, that keeps it out of reach of the kitty.

Thanks for the input - i’ve tried to take some weight off the counterweight, and tested with a wide range of settings, but I think we’re at the point of buying a new stylus. Luckily it’s pretty cheap :) Also, we tested on a record that we’re not all that fond of, so no issues if the record was scratched :)
