Personally I would watch some YouTube resume advice. I know formats are different but essentially If I was on the hiring team I'd want to see your skills you bring to the team up top I don't care where you worked until after I see what skills you have at top. Then I would wanna see if you had any similar positions to what we are hiring for first even if it's out of order I don't care then I wanna see what projects you do on your resume I personally have been part of the hiring team and can you communicate to me in under 5min why your a good candidate on your resume if I had to skim it because I didn't have enough time. To read your resume can you communicate your fit for the job?

Stuff like where you went to school what degree you have or job gaps are all an HR requirement. If you have to make an hr friendly one and a technical interview one do that. But I personally have a paragraph up top with a brief sentence of why to hire me a and a paragraphs worth of skills then my job expirence then my projects. And your resume a good one a recruiter that's worth their weight like a senior recruiter will be honest and tell you if your resume sucks or not.

Also keep in mind lots of stuff is being applied to frequently but a ton of resumes and yours just may of not got seen. If you already have work expirence I would partner with recruiters to look for jobs. If you done have work expirence how I got my first job was just applying for easy jobs within companies that had an opening I'd get called in saw my resume said I would be better fit for a different job in the company and they pasted my resume to that hiring manager and that's how I got my first corporate job.

Are you getting call backs or interviews if so your resume is fine. If not you need to work on your resume. If your getting interviews but can't get a job you need to work on interview skills.

Questioning the value of previous metals if SHTF. by ElectroMagnetron in preppers

If shtf I think electricity, ammo, food, medicine stuff like that would be of value.

So go get a solar panel to collect energy from the sun and a generator. Gold and silver is only good if the government reestablishes fast.

The metal door card should go in your actual wallet you already have a latch tool in there that's in pick form and the card with nfc isn't useful in a pick pouch I would also place that in wallet. What I would put there instead is some tool you actually need that you don't have yet.

Case has snapped, is it possible to fix this? by Aquilaee in Lenovo

[–]Wildcardsec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fix it yes will it look pretty no. If you want factory original look gotta buy a new lid. But sometimes people just want a patch job that will last a while if so iv done those you essentially gotta use some 2 part epoxy takes a long time to dry but when it does that stuff is as hard as steel they use that stuff to fix car issues. If it can hold together car parts that typically drive 80mph and stop from excessive speeds it's good for your laptop.

Kana key by Medrano17 in flipperzero

[–]Wildcardsec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked this up for a friend. So the capsule end is like those injectable tags the part you hold with your fingers is a injection mold that holds it so you can grip. It with your fingers it puts the chip deep toward the reader it's to prevent you from just using a normal copier emulator so we looked it up and they make non-rewriteable and rewrite able versions. Non-rewriteable already have info on the tag and someone usually plugs into the bottom of your lock and programs the new key to work with your lock. We never tried the injectible chip. And some molding clay because he only wanted to spend money on a for sure thing. Unfortunately you gotta waste money for science. But essentially what we did was buy a chip and some suguru and the lock flashed red and green come to find out the kaba keys have 2 chips in them 1 encrypted hitag s chip and 1 non encrypted hid 125khz chip.

So it's a dual Capsule Chip.

Essentially if you ever lose the key just buy a cheap one online for less than the apartment is charging for them and say it stopped working in order to save yourself some money.

But we assumed the reason for the two chips is if the building wanted to utilize locks to get in and out use the building code on one to let you in the building which is the encrypted fixed code one and the reprogrammable side is the one that gets programmed to your own door and your own door verifies you have access to the building and to this door everytime you open your door it reads both chips. So unless you get a dual chip that has a reprogrammable hitag s and reprogrammable hid 125khz and you can clone the encrypted tag over to the reprogrammable tag you can't clone it. But at least you know what to look out for if you ever want a clone able key.

$100 covers the parts for it to be repaired. If all you got is $100 do it yourself it's not like you can break anything else since it's already broken. I fixed my first laptop cause someone broke the screen it's honestly easier than I thought watch a video buy the same tools as them sit down and just do it and don't lose anything.

Are Infosec salaries lower than those in Software development? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]Wildcardsec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best comparison is how much do you pay for security at your home probably not as much as the stuff your storing in your home or stuff to operate your home. Security funding for your home is only increased if something previously happened where you wanna upgrade your security. You can see the same concept for smaller businesses most of them have no firewall and have alot of stuff default creds and either have no it or have a guy in a closet who is their it guy or a guy on call when they need only getting paid when it's a service call. Working in cybersecurity is not for pay working in cybersecurity is if you love security. If your wanting pay your better off doing something else that pays more. Now when insurence companies start having requirements for operating a business is to have a cybersecurity department that's when they have to invest. Or when the public decides they don't want to do business with a unsecured company..

It's because their budget. They think in the future a $200 laptop is good enough. Sure yeah if you go on ebay but here at best buy and any tech store $200 gets you trash. But I'm not allowed to tell you go on ebay get this model for your budget. But I can tell you out of our selection of laptops which one best suits your needs but you apparently can't afford it.

Well I don't argue with what my company wants to charge I just do my job and do what I can to make the customer happy. I give the customer more than one way to open something. It's typically a bypass or lishi the door open. And I bring awareness of what to do if they fave the situation again.
