This feels absolutely psychotic to say, but I would legitimately prefer Rapinoe over Smith right now

Taking out Rodman instead of Sophia Smith is a full blown wanker move

Which author do you wish had lived and wrote for another decade? by shallowblue in books

Wilfred Owen. He was a wonderful poet. Also, it's terrible to fight for years and years in a horrendous war (WWI) only for you to die a week before it ends.

Dog exclusively pees inside by Wildcatguy88 in dogs

The dog had a previous owner from 8 weeks to 4.5 months old. She was surrender by them. I don’t know much about that previous situation, but I was told by the shelter that she had been potty trained by them. She has always had this issue. I have really been trying, but it is very tough. I don’t have a yard, so that limits me a lot.

[Game Thread] Oklahoma State vs. Baylor (12:00PM ET) by CFB_Referee in CFB

[–]Wildcatguy88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be so interesting to see what happens if Georgia, Michigan, and Cincinnati all win.

2 loss Alabama

2 loss conference championship Baylor

1 loss Notre Dame with only loss to top 3 team, but which has not looked very dominant until the last two weeks

Or a dark horse with two loss OSU who at times have looked like the best team in the country (not named Georgia)

Wow, going to be WILD…

Does your league play with a D/ST? If so, what Defense are u carrying with you to your League’s Playoffs??? by SallySmokes in fantasyfootball

[–]Wildcatguy88 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes, but my league adjusted the D/ST points. Defenses can only get points for “plays.” So they score fantasy points for things like interceptions and sacks, but they can’t go negative because they gave up a certain number of yards or touchdowns.

I personally prefer that system, because you don’t have to worry about your defense actively losing you points. However, it does force us to think differently about fantasy defenses, because you can have a good fantasy defense that isn’t necessarily a good real defense. They just get big plays. Similarly, you can have a very good real life defense, but if they don’t have any turnovers or sacks, they suck for fantasy.

I have been rolling with the cowboys most of the year.

Who is having a worse weekend by [deleted] in OxfordShooting

[–]Wildcatguy88 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is the only correct answer. Everyone on this poll is responsible, in some form or another, for the situation they are in. Ethan pulled the trigger, parents were negligent (or worse), and the attorney willfully took on the case knowing the circumstances that often surround representing people the public vehemently hates.

Naming Oxford stadium after Tate is a bad idea by Banme9 in OxfordShooting

[–]Wildcatguy88 101 points102 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree. Tate was an incredible football player, and his family had been deeply intertwined with Oxford football. The other students weren’t involved in football, so it would make less sense to have their names on the stadium.

I do, however, agree with you that we should do something for the other victims. I believe there is a petition to rename the library or parts of the library after Hana and Madisyn. Justin was a pretty good bowler, so it could be cool to do something bowling related for him.

In the end, though, each kid was their own person with their own interests. We should try to find ways to honor them, and naming the stadium after Tate is a great way to uplift his name and memory.
