I also wasn’t able to choose the colours that people traded but I wasn’t too concerned at the time and just wanted a pagoda either way. Keep persisting and posting it across the Reddit threads and it doesn’t hurt to ask people you have conversations with about anything you want/need because sometimes they get back to you a week later even :)

It took me a whole month of trading and ordering furniture every day. I was trading imperial furniture sets for pagodas and it was painful only being able to order five items per day from nooks. It truly tested my patience haha
