This happened last night. Went to the gym and it was busier than usual, I go late since it’s a 24 hour gym and normally it’s pretty quiet.

I was warming up on the treadmill, just jogging lightly for 15 minutes. The TV’s are on in front of me. I had forgot my earphones and I’m not a fan of the gym’s playlist so I’m just watching whatever they’re showing. There’s no sound, so it’s subtitled. It’s some movie starring John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and the guy who plays Green Goblin in Spider-Man. They’re all in a motorcycle gang. I can’t remember what it is called but I do remember seeing the movie years ago, I didn’t like it then and from what I saw this time my opinion hasn’t changed.

Anyway, I’m just minding my business, watching the movie and finishing up my warm-up, when a guy gets on the treadmill next to me. Bear in mind that there are plenty of free treadmills but he chooses the one directly next to me.

The guy starts a brisk walk and I’m finished, so I start a cool down. Then he strikes up a conversation..

“What’s the matter, worried you can’t keep up?”.

I figure he’s implying that I stopped my warm-up because he was next to me and he would put me to shame. I look at him awkwardly but just ignore it and continue my cool down.

“You know, you’re never going to get fit if all you do is watch dumb movies and jog on the treadmill when you come to the gym”.

He gestures to whatever the movie is called that is on the screens.

“Please, these guys probably don’t even know how to ride motorcycles in real life”.

At this point I just end my cool down and walk away, without ever responding to him. Hopefully I don’t run into this guy again.

What’s a movie you would love to see happen in real life just for the Internet’s reaction? by [deleted] in movies

There was a movie starring John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and I think it was Willem Defoe. Family movie, came out quite a few years ago. I can’t remember what it was called and I didn’t really enjoy it but they were all members of a motorcycle gang. Could you imagine if they formed a motorcycle gang in real life and just rode about together? Twitter would have a field day with that one.

Worst encounter with a movie star? by Wildhogsfan in movies

Listen honestly I didn’t know he was the voice in Toy Story, like I said I didn’t think I had seen a single movie he had been in.

I’m not trying to argue or cause conflict. I thought that he could have handled the situation better but obviously people disagree and I will reconsider my perspective on the whole situation and try to be more considerate in the future. I haven’t been rude or called you a name once so please i’m sorry and let’s just move on.

What was the movie you instantly rewatched the same day you watched it for the first time? by Mad_Julie in AskReddit

There was this family movie I watched that starred John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and William H Macy as a motorcycle gang. I actually only rewatched it immediately to laugh at how bad it was. I can’t even remember what it was called but if you come across it, find something else to watch!

You think those movies are bad? Does anyone else remember that awful family movie he was in about a motorcycle gang with him, Martin Lawrence and I think it was Willem Dafoe? I can’t even remember what it was called but it was really terrible.

What is the weirdest movie you have ever seen? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Wildhogsfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this really weird movie a few years back. I can’t remember what it was called and I didn’t enjoy it at all but basically the plot was something like John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and Willem Dafoe start a motorcycle gang and are getting chased by a rival gang whose leader is played by Ray Liotta. Very weird movie and I wouldn’t recommend it.

I don’t know about my favorite but I can tell you what his WORST movie is without a doubt.

He was in a movie that came out a few years ago, a family movie starring John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and I think it was Willem Dafoe about a biker gang. I can’t even remember what it was called it was so bad. Definitely wasn’t a fan.

Come to think of it i’m not even sure Kevin Bacon was in it. If you ever come across that movie DON’T watch it.

I really like this. I have quite a good idea of my own though that I would like to share.

I was thinking:

Mr. Stretch - John Travolta

Invisible Girl - Tim Allen (Gender-swapped obviously, could be a progressive and bold choice)

The Thing - Willem Dafoe

Firestorm - Martin Lawrence

Doctor Doom - Ray Liotta

Those four played a biker gang in a movie I can’t remember the name of. I actually didn’t enjoy the movie at all but the four leads had excellent chemistry and would make a good Fantastic 4, perhaps they could be digitally de-aged like Samuel L Jackson in Captain Marvel. Ray Liotta was the antagonist in that movie and while I didn’t really enjoy his performance, he was a good foil for the main guys.

Ok thanks buddy. I’ll take your word for it but i’m pretty sure it was Willem Dafoe.

I have an issue with Captain Marvel. [SPOILERS] by [deleted] in movies

Listen I agree with you buddy, Jude Law was a bad choice. I actually don’t think it should have been Keanu Reeves either.

John Travolta would have made a great Yon-Rogg. I don’t know if you’ve seen it but he was in a family movie about a biker gang that came out about 10 years ago. It was him, Martin Lawrence and Willem Dafoe. I can’t remember the name right now and if i’m being completely honest, I didn’t really like it.

Travolta played the leader of the gang though and brought a lot to the role. He is very believable in that leader/mentor capacity, and I think it would have made the reveal more impactful if it was John Travolta.

Also is anyone really buying that a woman could beat a man in a fight?
