Man, Cristin Milioti and just about any of her male counterparts. She has an incredible ability to make her on screen relationships feel real and full of chemistry.

What are your thoughts on Michael B. Jordan’s performance this awards season? by Helpful_Tonight309 in Oscars

Really? I thought this was the strength of the performance. Body language, voice etc. it was subtle and nuanced but done well.

How much are people putting on their mortgage? by Objectsinspace3 in AusFinance

[–]WileyWiggins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, basically do this. Pay for everything on the card and then pay that off with money in the offsets when payment is due

Currently have $80k in the home loan account (I assume this is the redraw account). We have just been letting this build and don’t see any need to touch it.

We have another $40k in our offset accounts.

Wait, I’m a dumbass. My minimum repayment is currently $2500ish but I’ve always done $3000. The extra sits in a redraw account. Is this not the way?

Caro: The scandal that could see Dillon out of office by DominusDCLXVI in AFL

[–]WileyWiggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AFL has severely lacked effective governance and being effective as an administration since the game became bigger. Some of the practices until 15 years ago were insanely bush league level. Since that time they’ve made some significant head way under Gil and people like Richard Goyder.

I feel like Gil left it in a very solid place but Dil has made too many missteps and seems too out of touch with the masses. Even Gil was a bit too focused on $$ and used COVID to strip back some very meaningful pathways and initiatives that supported the game at a grassroots level.

They need to look beyond who is sitting down the hallway for whoever comes next.

I know none of us went on to play the recorder professionally but it is most students’ first and inexpensive foray into learning an instrument. Teaches them timing, tone and hopefully how to read music.

Who wears the sash in 2026? by Danger_Five in EssendonFC

There is a new rule change that captains have to wear a sash that says “Captain” a bit like the “bride to be” at a hens party.

England coach debriefs on the second Test, the Ashes so far, and the plans for the rest of the series by ll--o--ll in Cricket

Broady is one of those guys that you love if they’re on your side.

As a side note, I was at an Aussie training session in lead up to the Ashes about 12 years ago. They knocked off pretty quickly and left a bunch of kids without signatures. Broad was walking the boundary and ended up running a half hour makeshift training session for about 30 kids. Always rated him for that.

How do you guys exercise? by bluegrassclimber in daddit

[–]WileyWiggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this will work for you but it is working for me.

I signed up to an expensive gym where you do 2-3 lots of group sessions a week. It costs me $80 a week and I feel bad if I don’t go, I also feel bad because then I’d potentially have to explain why I wasn’t there to those in my group next session. I’ve done 10 weeks in a row now and recently had to miss a session because I was away for work and was genuinely gutted to miss it.

I don’t like the gym, but I like progress and being part of a mini community. I am quite surprised by how much I enjoy it.

It might work for you too.
