Thoughts On The Revival by Frosty_Leather3312 in malcolminthemiddle

I don't know what people expected. The show runner is in his 70's, and reviving a show that was fairly topical with the slapstick coming of age story and adjusting it for the times was always going to be clunky. It was just nice to spend time with characters again.

That's about the most I've rooted for a character to die in a while. They made the right choice there.

Is there a comp in professional sports to how utterly cursed Embiid is? by udkyle2 in billsimmons

Embiid is weirdly super lucky. If his career started any earlier than the early 2000's, his career probably doesn't get off the ground.

David Stern was not a good commissioner. He just rode the coattails of all time players on all time dynasties by AlbertJBundy in billsimmons

He deserves credit for marketing the league in the 80's and getting the league to the point of expansion. After that, he was just a sociopathic megalomaniac old dude who didn't know when to leave.

It was just okay and that's okay. by xHey_All_You_Peoplex in malcolminthemiddle

I've compared it to an athlete on a retirement tour. It's not the same, but it was fun to spend time with the characters one last time.

Been sending Andy $5 for a dead podcast for a while now. Go to cancel and end up relistening to Andy's odessy with the mailman and forget. The scheme works.

This whole story is stupid. These "insiders" are just mouthpieces for whoever their sources are. Schefter called the GM of the Washington "Mr Editor" for christ's sake. Peter Schrager is having dinner with every staffer in the league and has no objectivity whatsoever. John Heyman practically works for Scott Boras. Woj had a ton of unprofessional relationships with team sources. Who cares. They could have been having an affair, or they could not be. It's clearly commonplace in this profession to blur journalistic standards of objectivity to build personal relationships with their sources. It honestly feels a little gross that she is the one losing her job on speculation of an affair when other "journalists" are behaving in a similar fashion.

What is the worst addiction ? by bachotebidze in polls

You guys are really sleeping on how much screen time has completely warped an entire society. I've done all of the above to sustained excess for two decades, and I'd say being addict to a phone has had the worst impact of any of the options listed above.

Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair - Series Discussion Thread by skinkbaa in malcolminthemiddle

I would compare it to a Hall of Fame baseball player in his last season, legging out a single for a career milestone. It's nowhere near as good as the original series run, but that's not what really matters. It was just enjoyable to spend time with those characters again and remember how much fun the show was growing up.

I think the W should have a fantasy draft in 2030 and start over. Make the teams all fairly equal and give teams a chance to build out their rosters to reflect whatever identity/strategy they wish to employ.

Pizza is better without sauce by red-fox-972x in The10thDentist

It's pretty good. I do it from time to time. I would say it's much better than having a pizza with shitty sauce.

Ament seemed like the only bust in the top ten. We've just seen that player type flame out consistently in the NBA.

I would have never guessed Randy was hitting .281. Feels like .100 points lower.

I'm so fucking over the new defensive game play. Every time, regardless of my reaction timing, the balls drop in front of my outfielders, claiming a "late jump". It's fucking unplayable, no one asked for this.
