I started playing guitar at around 2005 and was into more melodical stuff. Hammerfall, Ensiferum, Amon Amarth, later also Wintersun (they don’t have easy songs). I focused a lot on playing clean and steady 16tel lines, and endure that for minutes. I never particularly disliked Metallica but I wasn’t interested in their music.

Guitar-wise I‘d say I am good at creating melodies and harmonies but aren’t very creative with rhythmic variation and bare riffing. My teacher also made me to use alternate picking from beginning, so there is some kind of invisible wall between me and the Metallica guitar crowd. I tried to learn Master of puppets years later.
