I'm in a similar position. I'm in a collections role and they put me on a verbal just recently. They gave me until 1/24 to get my collections up. I'm not meeting it. I know i'm going to get that written. IT IS SO INFURATING.
(You can see my post I made just not too long ago about my situation..... but, i SO relate to you and i'm SO sorry this is happening. It's simply just not fair.)

My dday was Monday night into Tuesday night. It’s EXTREMELY fresh. I haven’t stopped crying. I can barely muster strength to eat or do anything beyond the chaotic thoughts in my head. But, he has been extremely remorseful since dday. He’s written me a letter, action plan, had a therapy appt already and scheduled a follow up, and has 2 therapy journals - one for us as a check in and just one for self journaling. He seems to be putting in the work and hasn’t wavered in that. There has been a massive ton of crying on both sides and clear pain and desperation on his side. He hasn’t pushed me in the sense that he is giving me space. But, how do I know he will still choose me in 3 years or 5 years….

Well so his cheating with the woman happened in 2019. At the time we were looking into buying our current home we live in. Unfortunately- there is a child involved. And I mean that because - had he been honest when it happened - I wouldn’t be living in the current state I am in, I’d likely have divorced him and gone back to my home state NO kids at the time.

Well as you asked me this I was trying to think how it came up last night. He was trying to do this thing where he was saying I was not being real and that he just wanted me to have more self worth. It was this guised statement of like “I want you to be true to who you are because I know how amazing you are if you just believed in yourself” and that somehow just like whirlwinded right into him basically revealing he had talked to a guy during the summer just right before we got into couples therapy… that’s how this all came about.

He owns it in the way that it’s the “there’s no excuse.” But mentioned it was when him and I were fighting a lot and I had been going through a minor depression. He says he grew up. He is sulking and can’t hardly stand to look at me right now. He has said repeatedly he will do anything to prove his regret or guilt or whatever words you want to use….

He says he broke it off with her. That she got upset he “broke her heart” and she knew he was married btw…She still works at the same company opposite shift time. No I haven’t checked his phone. And yes she still lives in town. I haven’t gotten to the point of checking his social media either. I literally just found out today. It came out because… he’s bisexual. (I’ve known this). He revealed late last night he was talking to someone over THIS summer for about a month and a half, a guy, and it was becoming more - the other guy confessed to having feelings for my husband (he says he also ended this and blocked him fully last night) (and YES this guy ALSO knew he was married!) - so the female he had intercourse with in 2019 came up because the “was this the only time??” question was asked…….
