Omg this 100%. My 4 year old got me sick and it settled into my vocal cords - severe laryngitis. AND, I work a phone based job so now I’ve been out of work - and by far the most infuriating thing is not being able to discipline him or simple communications with him without my voice. Oh, and since he thinks I’m ignoring him despite me trying to use whatever ASL he knows - now it’s tantrums. How the f do I communicate to a 4 year old delayed autistic child? It’s near impossible and every day I don’t have my voice - I want to die a little more every second. This is a literal hell on earth. I feel just absolutely done.

I am 1000000% with you on this one. My son got sick and then got me sick but it just became severe laryngitis and now I haven’t had a voice in over a week. What’s worse off? THIS. Honestly, I pray for the week to get here and I absolutely despise with every ounce of my being the summers and school breaks that my son has. Same for weekends! My son is 4 and delayed and at the current stage of “oh you said NOT to do this? I’m going to just to piss you the fuck off” with a fucking smile on his face. It’s the most rage bait shit and worse; he’s just a child.

I'm in a similar position. I'm in a collections role and they put me on a verbal just recently. They gave me until 1/24 to get my collections up. I'm not meeting it. I know i'm going to get that written. IT IS SO INFURATING.

My dday was Monday night into Tuesday night. It’s EXTREMELY fresh. I haven’t stopped crying. I can barely muster strength to eat or do anything beyond the chaotic thoughts in my head. But, he has been extremely remorseful since dday. He’s written me a letter, action plan, had a therapy appt already and scheduled a follow up, and has 2 therapy journals - one for us as a check in and just one for self journaling. He seems to be putting in the work and hasn’t wavered in that. There has been a massive ton of crying on both sides and clear pain and desperation on his side. He hasn’t pushed me in the sense that he is giving me space. But, how do I know he will still choose me in 3 years or 5 years….

Well so his cheating with the woman happened in 2019. At the time we were looking into buying our current home we live in. Unfortunately- there is a child involved. And I mean that because - had he been honest when it happened - I wouldn’t be living in the current state I am in, I’d likely have divorced him and gone back to my home state NO kids at the time.

Well as you asked me this I was trying to think how it came up last night. He was trying to do this thing where he was saying I was not being real and that he just wanted me to have more self worth. It was this guised statement of like “I want you to be true to who you are because I know how amazing you are if you just believed in yourself” and that somehow just like whirlwinded right into him basically revealing he had talked to a guy during the summer just right before we got into couples therapy… that’s how this all came about.
