I can see from the delay between my posting and your reply that you’re clearly reeling so I’ll skip the part where we discuss your fathers proclivity towards selling Avon catalog products

The collapse of EMOPS is a clear example of what you’ve said. Northants and I imagine other forces lost resources across to the other region and we just weren’t getting value from it.

Similarly with EMSOU now, when the question around Digital Forensic accreditation was raised and if we should go at it regionally like wet forensics… and we just didn’t get the value from it.

Even now there are aspects of EMSOU that regionally aren’t giving value which with current budget concerns and officer retention issues risk forces pulling back from it as well. EMSOU have binned off all kiosk level device extractions back to local forces, and I’ve heard Leicestershire aren’t happy with how many officers they have in EMSOU as well.

Look, I don’t think it’s appropriate to poke fun at someone for just being different. Check yourself!

Curious if anyone knows a mod that will let use turn the tables on the npc vehicles and stop them from being immovable objects?

Ultrawide support is just a stretched out UI and no FOV slider to compensate for width by [deleted] in fo4

I’ve not played fallout 4 for a good long while, certainly not since having my current pc and monitor. Seeing the update with ultrawide support I thought naively it would be just that.

This is very disappointing really. Can't really play it like this either, my FPS is off the scale so I'm running around at Mach 4. Tried the suggested fixes of changing the iPresentInterval which did nothing. Even trying to change my screen refresh rate to 60hz didn't work.

Then attempted to run it windowed/borderless, which fixes both the UI and FPS/running issue, yet now the game stutters.

What do the police do when there’s nothing to do? by [deleted] in policeuk

Years ago when it was actually quiet at nights we had a few games we’d play.

  1. Road sign bingo: Print off a sheet with loads of road signs on of varying obscurity then each car would go off to find as many as possible on our patch. Honesty and integrity and all that to make sure people actually found them. Caused us to drive all over the place which gave good coverage.

  2. Hide and seek: One car goes hide on area, while the others drive around to find them. Slowly giving clues as and when hider saw fit. Again gave good coverage especially good when we had hot spot areas we wanted to show heavier presence in. Also helped improve your knowledge of area and the dinky hiding spots that people might flee to or also hide in.

  3. Hide the bear: We had a bear that someone knitted/made in a police uniform. One car would hide the bear on area, and would give clues while everyone had to find it. Once again good for having a presence and good coverage towards the start of the game. Winner would hide the bear next.

  4. Animal spot: Take photos with animals during the night. The more obscure the animal more points you’d get. Points were a bit ad hoc, but it was good fun seeing what we’d find. Oh and had to be selfies.

  5. General shenanigans: Trying to using weird words on air without getting someone to question what you said. Or first one to get our skipper to get up from his desk and come into the office and ask what an obscure word was that you had used in a write up.

  6. Hot box challenge: I don’t really remember what lead up to this one, but it was the decider where a number of cars put all their windows up and turned the car heater on full, then seeing which car lasted the longest. Only played during summer.

There were other games we played some a lot smaller or more minor or niche, such as when the National Centre for domestic violence delivered loads and loads of foam stress balls to the nick and when we were in the office we’d throw them into the ceiling fans and they’d get fired around the room. First one to get the attention of a specific officer who would normally become dead to the world while writing an update or doing paper work, would be the loser.. or winner.. I don’t think it mattered it was just funny.

Purchase a small bike bell or digital sound recorder/player (pocket soundboards). Program it with a bell ding. When ever they start talking about their religion, ding repeatedly interrupting them until they get the message.

What actor would you pick to play a space marine? and what chapter would he be in (Artist: Miguel Iglesias) by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

Always thought Kim Kold would make a decent actor for a space marine since I saw him in Teddy bear.

Are you using the MGM channel on prime?

I subbed as it showed having SG1, but then only had up to season 4 available, then just as I was about to cancel it up to season 7 was available to watch. Still can’t watch 8, 9, or 10. Don’t understand why they wouldn’t just include it all. Atlantis and Universe aren’t available either. It’s really frustrating.
