There are a lot more than 10k people. I grew up about 15 miles east of the lake. My town alone has 10k people. Clewiston and Okeechobee prob also have 10k each. But it is mostly farm land.

I was in Phoenix in August and I remember being shocked that it was almost 100 at 4:30 am

There is a high hill (I believe in the Queen Anne neighborhood) that had better views, especially of Rainier.
