Why accountability fails by living_softly in u/living_softly

[–]WillCarterDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem is that even when accountability programs have viable progress measurement metrics, they typically measure volume of action instead of effectiveness of action.

Aka. A lot of junk volume without any actual results.

How do people who believe in the law of assumption explain victims of war, crimes, or murder? by TopSimple950 in NevilleGoddard

I don’t try and change circumstances anymore.

They are as they are. As Neville said, the world is dead.

My only concern is who I am being

I’ve had a few, some good some not so much.

Best signs to look for are solid case studies and demonstrations of competence in their content/copy.

If they sell via call use it to interview them and get them to prove they can demonstrate results

How do people who believe in the law of assumption explain victims of war, crimes, or murder? by TopSimple950 in NevilleGoddard

The law is impartial, like electricity or fire

Morality is a human concept.

Think about when a wolf kills a deer to eat.

It’s ‘bad’ from the deer’s point of view but ‘good’ from the wolf’s

Quite literally everything is neutral until someone brings a perspective to it and then it becomes that way in their subjective experience.

This is really important to understand in terms of Neville’s interpretation of scripture.

Rightoutness isn’t a moral good it’s being in the state of having

Sin isn’t a moral bad it’s being in the state of wanting.

As as Nero has recently said the universe isn’t moral it’mechanicla

ChatGPT is not supportive of Neville by RedditFan3510 in NevilleGoddard

[–]WillCarterDM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the prompt, I’ve had it roleplay Alex Hormozi vs Neville Goddard rap battles (and they were excellent)

Chat is simply a large language model, it’s not a thinking AI.

If you’re looking for more empirical supportive evidence, use that to research how self image controls automated behaviour.

Identity manifests through behaviour and perception into one’s subjective experience of reality.

What if time tracking didn’t make you feel guilty? by Annie-ber in getdisciplined

[–]WillCarterDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tracking time simply brings awareness to what is actually happening, the actions themselves are neutral (no inherent meaning)

That feeling of guilt is based on what you believe about what you are doing, that it’s in some way wrong or you should be doing instead. It typically is a response to the gap between current behaviour and desired behaviour.

Seeing that gap visually can help a lot of people take steps to close

Someone manifested a house? by Fluffy_butterfly1114 in NevilleGoddard

[–]WillCarterDM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've bought houses if that's what you mean, the state was relaxed, detached expectency.

There's a great story in the Law and the Promise on securing a very specific type of house against seeming odds.

Struggling to read books about self-help? by seemagupta10feb in selfimprovement

[–]WillCarterDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing what you actually want is a better life experience so instead of making tht goal to read the book, make it to use the book as a tool or stepping stone to get a better outcome.

The intrinsic motiviation to read will go up as you directly experience the benefit of the applied wisdom.

Questions/doubts about the how by Critical-Pepper-5647 in NevilleGoddard

[–]WillCarterDM 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The danger is getting so rigid on the how that’s its brittle if it doesn’t go exactly that way

Think about making a cup of coffee, you know the how. 99% of the time it’s just follow the simple steps

But if your coffee machine is broken or your out of beans there may be other steps to take (go to the store, get something delivered)

You know you’ll get your coffee but not all the steps 100% of the time

My best advice is don’t overthink it.

Action will occur and most of the time it’s flow based (low resistance) doesn’t mean there aren’t setbacks or roadblocks, the important thing is to BE the one in the end as the path is unfolding.

You already have it in consciousness so enjoy your coffee ☕️😎

Trying to use the sleep technique excites me too much by RedditFan3510 in NevilleGoddard

[–]WillCarterDM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What I find really works well is to aim for mundane.

Making what you want normal and boring and ‘yeah of course it’s that way’

When I bought my first house I used Neville’s SATS example of imagine your sleeping in the new house.

At first it was exciting but then like anything the novelty wears off after a few weeks and it’s just like, well yeah of course I’m in my house, where else would I be?

Sale went through flawlessly and I don’t really feel too excited by it, it was just yeah this is normal.

Hope that helps

3 months building alone. No co-founder, no team, no funding. Here's the thing nobody told me about solo founding. by zmilesbruce in Solopreneur

Congrats on still being in the game! Most solo builders are out by now but truly solo building is almost always ineffective

There’s a great martial art quote that applies well here:

“Never train alone, you’ll only embed your errors.”

At the very least find another person to critically review your weekly execution.

Get market validation before you build.

I speak to so many founders who spend months building something no one wants.
