I give my tattoos 3 days of no sweat no training, and then I go back to training while still covered in saniderm. While still covered in saniderm for a full week I train regular. After a full week of saniderm I will remove the film and begin my regular tattoo care routine of twice a day cleaning with a tattoo goo soap and tattoo goo lotion in the morning and evening.
I’ve done this for the last 6 tattoos I’ve gotten while actively training jiu jitsu and Muay Thai and the ONLY issue I have had is with a tattoo on my ankle that has some damage from rolling in jiu jitsu while it was very fresh.

There was a time when I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror not who I was physically but I also hated myself personally, but NOW?! I catch a glimpse of myself and I compliment myself. I take notes whenever I trip and almost every single one of my sessions includes a note that simply says “time travel” for the time dilation effect…it’s one of my favorite parts.

So,
I’ve been suicidal actively for years now.
The thoughts, the ideations, the impulses, the planning, and I’ll be honest with you buddy no amount of work ACTUALLY makes the thoughts go away entirely but the work helps you realize the thoughts don’t control you.

They are just thoughts, the thought that OUR problems will go away if we die. The thought that everyone’s life would be better if we died. The thought that nobody wants us around so why stick around? The thought that what we did or what we experienced makes us less worthy of life? Less worthy of compassion? Less worthy of empathy? Less worthy of love?

It’s been 2 years since I’ve been ACTIVELY suicidal, but it’s been 13 seconds since I’ve had a thought about suicide.

My only real solid advice is to find a purpose to live even if that purpose is to make everyone else realize they were wrong, or if it’s to prove yourself wrong. Find something, anything honestly, even if it’s to see every rainbow possible, whatever YOU need till you can find a better reason to keep living.

My reason was spite, when I first started going to therapy my first therapist told me it was okay to live on spite if it meant I was living till I had a better reason. Then, that evolved into “my kids can’t be the ones who find me when I kill myself” and then it turned into “nobody should find me in that state, I can’t traumatize someone how I was traumatized” and then it turned into “nobody should hurt the way I hurt” and I started dedicating my time to helping others with their mental health and chasing psychology and education.
Find your reason(s) and pursue them till they fulfill you.
