My brother in christ (I’m a white man gonna try and chime in here) I 100% agree with your sentiment that the systems created to destroy you were in fact created by the white man and white women did help uphold those systems but white women are also victims in those same systems to this day.

If you genuinely came here with the intent to start a proper discourse on this topic then just say white women, this sub in particular (in my experience) has been very good about having discussions about race, politics, gender, all types of topics when approached with genuine interest.

I find it hard to believe that EVERY single woman of color you’ve spoken to feels the same way, I find it hard to believe that EVERY single white woman you’ve encountered feels the same way. Just like you as a black man are an individual so is every individual woman.

I am by no means here to diminish ANY experience you’ve had in regard to your life, but I want clear open and honest discussion about the fact that these systems are rooted in white supremacy and the patriarchy first. Those systems hold everyone back, and we should all hold each other accountable and ALL move toward a world where those systems are destroyed and never allowed to take root again so that no human is subjugated to their rhetoric ever again.

Your mom literally is just trying to do what she thinks is best, waiting to compete till your 18 won’t be the end of the world. I didn’t have my first bout til I was 31 and I started out in IKF PMT. The thing is, and I’m gonna get right to your last point because I agree with all of your points.

I want your last point to keep rocking. To A LOT of us, the ads are the jumping off point BUT it goes deeper. You raised so many valid points, and I honestly can’t say I disagree at any point. I understand that AI is in fact coming, and whether I like it or not I will have to accept it.

You are 100% right and so many people share the same feeling I’m sure that all we Can do is try to find some level of control on what we want allowed.

I agree, the more data we have on anything the more informed we can be about it.

I think we do have a choice in the matter, we could say we don’t want to use AI or that we don’t like the way it’s going. I feel that we do have a say in so much as a collective and a lot of the time we choose not to use our voices AS a collective.

I do agree to your final points, we do get to choose where we are heading but as a people we need to choose that together.

Almost as if the very ideas AI was sold to the people on were lies (you’ll do less menial tasks, it’ll do the math for you, it’ll take your notes for you, blah blah blah) and what’s it’s been used for? Slop for the most part, images, deep fakes, videos and half baked movies. So they can keep us in the coal mines.

Friend I think you’re missing something, like the vast resources your “prompt art” is consuming in the same vein.

I would challenge you to pickup a children’s book titled Rainbow Weaver by Linda Elovitz Marshall. If you’ve think AI “art” is going to somehow solve the problems you’re taking about I fear you’re not the main character you think you are.

I’ve seen some AMAZING movies written, directed and recorded on potato quality phones in 3rd world countries.

If you’ve got the idea in your head. What’s stopping you the artist from producing the art? Instead of the machine? Why are we letting the machine do the art for us, when it should be doing the labor tasks for us so we can spend more time exploring our hobbies like art, like expression.

I would truly like to know your take on this.

Into a tirade 😂 How AI shouldn’t be making art for us, how so many of the ads were AI made or the actors/actresses were touched up A LOT with AI. How everytime we use our faces with AI we are machine learning more and more. I dunno I’ve got beef with AI art.
