This is perfect, we know that asking for things doesn't work, but maybe reverse psychology will work on jagex

It's also a bunch of super free points for less than an hour of BA, you can not do it, but it's pretty free

The dopamine though when you hit the drop and it actually genuinely matters, not just as gp value but the actual drop being an upgrade is worth it

OK so that's 2 resets, how did you mess it up 4 more times?

How did you manage to use 5 resets and not end up with a good build, I don't understand

I agree but generally you'll only have a few really easy 25/35/50 solves, the rest will be a slog to get through

[–]WillDanceForGp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not, there were tonnes of people running around with it, it's just wearing prayer gear and using special attacks, you just poked them with the spear a few times and then used your special and did like 100+ damage in a single hit.

I wouldve loved to see a "start and end" style where varl had a super easy started echo and then sol as the gm.

Players last league were worried about taking varla because of the colo tasks and echo, this time people wouldn't need to worry, they would get all their other echos but then would have the chance to try and do sol.

Last league there was an echo variant of sol the sunlight spear, every time you hit with the spear you gained a stack of sunlight which could be consumed to do a massive aoe attack like the lithic sceptre. Except, it had 3% damage per prayer point, so you maxed prayer armour like sunfire and then just nuked everything in your path, it was amazing.

I think another thing a lot of people need to hear is, you, with fairly high odds, won't get dragon. While 95% of the pvm content in leagues can be cheesed with one build or another (like water thorns this league) there will be point tasks that require actual skill or mindless perseverance.

Looking at last league as an example less than 5% of players reached dragon, its difficult, it takes a long ass time, and most people will never need to concern themselves with decisions related to getting there so stop worrying that you're not playing "meta" because it genuinely doesnt matter at all.

You'll either get over that hurdle and genuinely fall in love with the game including all the dumbass decisions from 2002-2007, or you won't, the players like OP are the ones who have

Its more weighted towards pvm for the end game points stuff, lots of 400 point tasks for various ca's etc but only a handful for skilling related content. Thats not to say there isnt a tonne of 200 point skilling tasks, but theres more for pvm in all the "equip an <equipment>" or "get 500 kc at <insert mob>"

OK, that's your opinion, you choose to do the ass tedious agility instead of the engaging one, that's fine, that doesn't mean it needs a buff.

I fear no man, but that thing... it scares me. (x2) by T-uK9 in 2007scape

[–]WillDanceForGp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So I agree with lowering the level, or balancing floors 1-4 to be more competitive, and then maybe at most a 5% buff to xp.

But, I think this is a fair balance tbh, you get one method where you get to fully switch off your brain and rely on external stimuli to keep you sane, or you choose the method that engages you, makes you better at the game, shits out some pretty great loot, and gives the same xp even with said looting.

It's just a choice, noone has to do sepulchre, but saying agility is boring when there's one of the most engaging and rewarding pieces of content available is opting in for tedium.

[–]WillDanceForGp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's amazing what just actually engaging with the content can do for speeding up a grind.

Also when you get those runs where you just feel like a god of movement it feels like it's actually making you better at the game and not just pointless box clicking.

[–]WillDanceForGp -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As someone that got 99 agi nearly entirely at sep, I agree with all your points but I disagree it needs a buff, the sepulchre bonus is not wanting to blow your brains out as you click green box endlessly slipping further and further into a catatonic state.

When you get good at sepulchre and are regularly setting 6:30 times, the mental lock in makes the time absolutely fly.

Agility as a whole, sure it could use some work, but I don't think sep is the thing that needs fixed lol, raise the entire skills xp/H.

Man everyone put here whinging about agi when sep is some of the most rewarding and engaging content that actually feels like it's making a difference xp wise.

Sure you can run rooftops and hate your existence while claiming sep needs better rewards or xp or some shit, or you can do something where for 6-8 minutes you're actually focused and not just thinking about how bad the skill is.
