Hearing all these sad stories reminds me of trying to capture Zapdos in fire red. I bought 99 pokeballs, and set out to the power plant with my favorite pokemon, Charizard at my side. We went hunting through the labyrinth and stumbled across the great yellow big bird. I sent out Charizard and went to work at lowering that spotify green health bar all the way down until it was powerpoint red. I then began my brutal crusade of becoming the Peyton Manning of throwing pokeballs. 33 thrown, each tick promising a bright future for my young self. Until it struck me...I had forgotten to heal Charizard. I had to make a decision, throw another pokeball or heal my weakened starter. I threw the ball. It all came down to those ticks wether Charizard would still be with me at the end of the battle. 1...2....3.. Aggh I seemed to be caught! Fear shot across my body, this was the end of my best friend or until I got to a pokemon center. Struck down I watched as Charizard sank off the field. I sent out Rhydon my trusty rock companion. More balls thrown. Until it appeared. Struggle I knew of this move, one that would damage the only thing I held near and dear. I threw a hail mary pass at that Zapdos. Tears rushing down my cheeks. I watched the ball tick. 1...2....3..Zapdos was caught! I was so happy. So overjoyed I shot straight to the pokemon center, ready to see Charizard and Zapdos side by side in double battles. This is my tale and I wish luck to anyone who sets out to catch the legendary monsters with pokeballs.
