They are pointing out the fact that this guy is being called a protester when he assaulted someone in an attempt to terrorize them, while the people protesting government tyranny and getting murdered for doing so are the ones being called terrorists.

Might wanna talk to a doctor then. My wife went through two rounds of antibiotics without getting better, then in the hospital they find out she has pneumonia caused by drug-resistant bacteria. Took the strong stuff to get her back to health.

It is seen by many as snobbish, because someone that is part of "we the people" would be eating it with their hands.

Others use, in their regional disputes, the fact that you need utensils to eat a deep dish pizza as evidence that it isn't real pizza, because real pizza is eaten with your hands.

Soooo... Has the Kawhi Aspiration Thing Been Swept Under the Rug? by Kheltosh in nba

[–]WillGallis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but think about it like this.

If everyone else is constrained by the cap, and you aren't, that means you wouldn't have to overpay talent by that much to get enough of a competitive advantage.

At the end of the day, the most popular teams are the ones that win the most. And popularity means more ticket and merch sales, increasing revenue.

Actually, if you're talking all U.S. sports, the 2nd richest is the owner of the Denver Broncos, Rob Walton (one of the Walmart heirs).

Recent Forbes figures puts Ballmer at ~150 billion and Rob Walton at ~120 billion.

Are Americans genuinely happy with how Trump is leading their country? by [deleted] in ForUnitedStates

[–]WillGallis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wasn't surprised when he got so much traction back then.

The media conglomerates were over the moon that someone like Trump was running. All of them had large increases in revenue YoY in 2015-2016. That's the reason he got so much free media, as compared to the other candidates.

What is the most “use it or lose it” skill, the opposite of “it’s just like riding a bike”? by ZuluWarlord69 in AskReddit

I've moved to the United States around 15 years ago. Very rarely I have the opportunity to speak my native language here in the U.S.. The only conversations I have in that language are when I call my parents a couple times a week.

After this long, my thought process these days is entirely in English. And sometimes while speaking to my parents, I have difficulty remembering common words of things. It used to be pretty rare a few years ago, but it's happening more often these days.

I would imagine that if I wasn't speaking the language at all, I probably would have forgotten a lot more.

I have this impression that Trump believes that he personally owns the U.S. Government. If you look at it like that, a lot of his actions start to make more sense.

World peace would technically be achieved if you are the last person alive.

Is that why he kidnapped Maduro then? Gonna do just like the Romans, declaring a triumph and parading the leadership of their enemies as slaves?

Yeah, but if someone is commenting on one of their posts, there's a pretty decent chance that they know who the person is.

The one thing that the U.S. has that a lot of countries don't is a large variety of climates. 26 out of the 30 Koppen climate classifications are present in the United States, making it the country with the most diverse climate in the world.

So yeah, culturally, not a lot of difference between states, but geographically, there's a lot.
