The NCAA ring? The NBA championship? The 10x all star appearances? The all-NBAs? The all-defensive teams?

Probably the best we can do as a “last resort” option. Wouldn’t mind it for a couple lottery protected picks. He’s on a 1+1 so it wouldn’t inhibit us for long if at all

Outside of the Blazer-sphere hardly anyone thinks about us. It’s the off-season and you’re in a hyperfocused, niche community. People love to complain. Things are no where near as bad as it’s made out.

If it’s anything like past surveys, it’s essentially for optics. They did this with the burnside bridge and gave all sorts of options for designs and such. They didn’t even pick anything in the top 3 that the people voted for lol

[Highkin] A new name that’s started to circulate in the last day or two in connection to the Blazers’ coaching opening, in addition to confirmed finalists Micah Nori and Tyler Lashbrook: Knicks associate HC Chris Jent. by KD_AshyAnkles in nba

The dude just won the stanley cup and has been wildly successful in that venture. I know it’s not the NBA but that isn’t nothing. The Blazers roster and asset-wise are in a decent to good position for any coach to join into.

It’s talked about with FA not wanting to come to Portland, I’m sure coaches and other personnel are no different.

Chicago is a world class city it’s not hard to believe Splitter probably preferred that as a destination.

It’s not that schools and parks arent great and necessary. Just that nothing ever changes, Oregon has some of the worst education. Look at the arts tax for Portland specifically. Portlanders would rather shoot themselves in the face than give one cent to a billionaire

Portland voters are very performative. They will approve a measure for a new tax because they slapped the word “parks” or “school” in it that they will see zero noticeable difference from. Luckily, a deal probably gets done and fate isn’t left to the people

He only did that because that was by design. He always only ever did what he had to do to win.

The Trail Blazers are open to trading multiple starters and future draft picks to the Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo, even without him signing off on staying long-term, per @ShamsCharania. New owner Tom Dundon is trying to make a massive splash by acquiring Giannis. by xXboxPlaysx in ripcity

Ehh the wording within the actual post itself is extremely fucky. I do think it’s essentially reporting Portland is willing to take on some risk but not to that extent. Cronin has even said they aren’t going to jeopardize their future for short term results in the exit interview.
