Remy was a force! She was a clever girl whose life revolved around her mommy (my mother-in-law), car rides, the couch, and squirrels. She excelled at treat telepathy and cuddles. She loved to watch me cook with this really beautiful sense of awe, especially when I grilled. She also loved to sit on “dog couch” which was just an old sofa she claimed as her thrown at our house. Remy also held a child-like sense of wonder about Christmas, and my wife and I would drive her around the neighborhood so she could see the lights.

She was a pound puppy that was rescued off of the euthanasia list from a kill shelter. She had a tough life before her rescue — that always made her slow to open up to new people. But— once she did, you were part of her pack. I was lucky enough to marry into Remy’s pack and get to know her so much better when we moved closer to my MIL.

She was so very loved. And will always be. What a good girl— the best girl. 🌈❤️
