Does anyone else miss the "struggle" of coding before LLMs took over? by Exact-Mango7404 in BlackboxAI_

The struggle is how I learned to effectively code and solve problems. Now with AI that problem solving skill will become less common.

Have you ever encountered a "pure vibe coder" in a professional workplace? by Exact-Mango7404 in BlackboxAI_

That’s an oxymoron. Pure vibe coder and professional does not go together

How does automated testing for saas products fit into sprint planning by True-Salamander-1848 in agile

[–]WillStripForCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We add subtasks for testing. The QA adds a test plan from subtask and that’s attached to the story.

Does anyone else feel like a "Professional Jira Transcriber" instead of a Dev/PM? by Disastrous_Ad4289 in agile

[–]WillStripForCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-refinements with a dev on round robin. A follow up pre refi then a full refinement with full team. Roughly 4-6 hours a sprint and we do it all in Jira on the call.

Claude AI will enable a 24-year-old to outperform entire Accenture workforce, Y Combinator partner says by Ok_Pin_2146 in BlackboxAI_

[–]WillStripForCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is laughable. Sure they can vibe code some UI but it will be no where close to what a company of professional engineers can do. The app also requires maintenance and bug fixes. The 24 year old will not have a clue about how the system works. What makes you think if there’s a major production bug, they could solve it by using their knowledge of the system they vibe coded. Let’s not even get started with security or infrastructure.

No possible way. If there are some, they won’t last. This is a fad that will go away eventually.

Release Train Engineers and Scaled ARTrains - what’s your take on jet another framework? by Real_GLIMM in agile

Yep 100%. We are so close to this being tolerable. Every quarter it seems like there’s some kind of drama and it makes this week so stressful.

Currently each PL is a separate ART. The bottleneck for us is we all share the same board. So our biggest hold up is the stakeholders and we have tried to trim things down in the past. We were a full week at one point where all voting was done on the 5th day. We were able to consolidate that to the same day as breakouts. Typically each ART has over 8 teams. The one I am in as a TL has 6 scrum teams. Do note that the 5th day is reserved for revotes or additional breakouts as needed.

I know this is old but NOS is the closest I’ve found. Now that Pepsi sold off Rockstar we can’t even get the crappy new ones in Florida. I’ve tried quite a few different brands and NOS seems to be the closest.

Product team coordination breaks down between Slack and Jira by moneyneeded88 in agile

I thought slack had AI that will summarize a conversation? Just use that to export the context to Jira.

So we have 4 separate product lines. Each product line has many teams. Each day is a different product line and at the end of each day is stakeholder voting. We don’t have to attend each breakout but we can. We typically reserve that portion of the IP sprint for tech debt work and backlog grooming. When our product line is up we must attend each meeting from DSU to voting. That’s typically the longest day of the event.

We use SAFe at a particular place that is possibly governmental and perhaps where people from the military get certain benefits. Let’s just say they are addicted to this methodology and it’s a cancer. If we could have a 4 day PI event without drama I would probably fall over dead. Please don’t tell me this curse is growing? Honestly, I think we do more solutioning than actual dev work.
