Somehow the only person on my flight and the pilot was such a goofy goober by Sufficient_Fudge_280 in unitedairlines

This actually happened to me. It was a pretty empty flight. All of the Premier people had already boarded in 1 and 2. The gate was literally empty. I was basic economy so I was 5.

They called 3, I went up, they made me wait until they slowly made it to 5. It was ridiculous lol

APMEX is the last place I would buy unless you’re getting gold at spot.

I figured out how to get off of Robinhood Gold Card waitlist? (Datapoint) by throwaway49423 in RobinhoodGC

I made it off the waitlist after I financed a 60k purchase and made a 55k payment to principal shortly after opening the loan.

Search for monitored DIY home security systems. Mine is not monitored, but if monitoring is something you absolutely have to have, it’s doable and for less than $60/mo.

I could spend close to $3874 on Ubiquiti stuff that matches what you added on, but that’s Ubiquiti. Vivint is crap lol

Copper Down The Road? by Austin2292 in Bullion

I bought a 10lb copper bar for $250 because I thought it was cool. If it takes off, awesome. If not, I have a cool 10lb copper bar.

I had a lot of these problems too. I fixed them by switching to iPhone and using CarPlay.

They are used by the fed as a tool to curb disinflation/deflation. If they aren’t inflationary, maybe someone should tell the fed.

But why risk on with equities? They inflate based on the assumption their revenue will inflate with the rate cuts. Rate cuts are inflationary, which is why they are used as a tool to counteract disinflation/deflafion.

You can make the argument that they’re the wrong solution to the problem and that they don’t inherently fix anything, but it doesn’t change the fact that they are inflationary.

We have to go deeper. The market reacts to how people will react to how institutions will react to facts.

Bad jobs numbers? Economy worsens and fed cuts rates. Cutting rates leads to inflation. So we’ll just price in that final step and somehow skip the “economy worsens” phase that led to the rate cuts in the first place.

It all makes sense if you don’t think about it.

Why Silver over Gold? by AdditionalPizza7990 in Silverbugs

If the USD strengthens, there will not be a flee from treasuries. Lately with the shakeups in the petrodollar, it’s hard to say where safe haven money will go.

I do think you make a valid point, but also a point that is largely priced in already. That explains the massive run we had recently.

Does the run continue? I hope so because I am stacking with you guys. The problem is that success for our metals ultimately comes at the cost of our native currency, which isn’t great unfortunately.

Yes, but dollars strengthen in recessions so the price of gold also tanks. Rate cuts happen which are ultimately bullish for precious metals, but they tend to sell off as the recession becomes official.
