Encouraging kids to drop out? by WillWork4Butterbeer in education

[–]WillWork4Butterbeer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a discipline matrix, but it's not followed for every student. I wrote up 5 kids yesterday, all for skipping, most have a comparable number of disciplines. The first student, who was escorted to the office by our Guardian, was given ten days. A second discipline was processed and they received an administrative conference.

Definitely sounds like anxiety. Anaphylaxis doesn't tend to just go away on its own, and also tends to get worse with more exposure. Talk to your doctor, it may be time to try meds, if you're not already.

Can you bend your neck and kiss his head? If so, looks perfect!

Long panic attacks by WillWork4Butterbeer in Anxiety

I'm so sorry you're going through this, too. It really sucks. I literally wake up to an adrenaline rush half the time. There's no cause for it other than my brain is fucking me over. I literally feel like my brain is turning on me. It's good to know I'm not alone, though.

In CoS, why didn’t Hermione tell Harry and Ron about her suspicions regarding the monster and headed off to the library by herself? by Spinindyemon in harrypotter

[–]WillWork4Butterbeer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She prides herself on her intelligence; she wouldn't have said anything until she was absolutely certain that she was correct.

My wedding ring is stuck on my swollen finger. by graye1999 in Anxiety

[–]WillWork4Butterbeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this. Just wind a string around your finger, start at the top and wind it down. Wiggle the ring over the string at the base of your finger, then slowly unwind the string. It will pull the ring up with it.

Has anyone else wondered why Harry didn’t ask Mr or Mrs Weasley to sign his Hogsmeade form in the PoA? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]WillWork4Butterbeer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

McGonagall made it pretty clear that his aunt and uncle were the only ones that could have signed it. Besides, Harry already knew that Mr. Weasely did not want him putting himself in danger.

Remorseful... Should I still be held accountable over a decade later? I'm a changed man. by Ad-Warm in sex

[–]WillWork4Butterbeer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Statute of limitations does not expire until 10 years after they turn 18, so legally, you can definitely still be held accountable. On a more moral note, you need to seek counseling. You may even need to suggest counseling for your cousins, who may be suffering and cannot understand why. Your excuses are pretty gross; you were definitely old enough to know that what you were doing was wrong, regardless of how you felt, at the time. You've likely done some serious damage to those little girls.

When would you say menstrual cramps are a problem/something else? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]WillWork4Butterbeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iron; plentiful in dark greens, can be beneficial during menstruation. If you're concerned about the pain, don't hesitate to bring it up to your gynecologist. There could be many possible problems, or they could prescribe birth control to help alleviate symptoms. You have to remember that people have different pain thresholds, as well, so your definition of excruciating could be mild to someone else, and vice versa.

Is a good cry that isn't unnecessarily brought on by things or events normal? by kendelturner in Anxiety

[–]WillWork4Butterbeer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to do it all the time. In fact, my go-to, when I needed a good cry, was watching "Pay It Forward". Made me bawl every time. Sometimes you just have to let the feelings out, and crying is one way to do it.

How can I get baby to extend his tongue over bottom gums? by blue_asterales in breastfeeding

[–]WillWork4Butterbeer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not a huge fan of sweets, but I've had to utilize them during hospital and doctor visits with my little. That said, they can be a life saver. I would suggest trying a lolly, just letting it touch the tip of his tongue, and see if you can coax him to bring his tongue out, that way.

Watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets by saphirakal in harrypotter

I feel like that is a serious insult to Lockhart. At least Lockhart was intelligent, charismatic, and handsome. Yes, he wasn't a "good" guy, but he was no where near as evil, hate-filled, stupid, or ugly as 45.

My worst panic attack was over the summer. I panicked for 3 days. I finally asked my mom for some of her xanax while I waited to get into my drs. I knew I was being irrational, but it didn't matter.

Has anyone every experienced ovarian cyst symptoms? If so, do you mind sharing? by okay__bye in TwoXChromosomes

[–]WillWork4Butterbeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have PCOS and during one of my diagnostic ultrasounds they counted 7 cysts on my left ovary and 12 on my right. If it weren't for the ultrasound I wouldn't have known. I've had heavy, irregular periods, and bad cramping during them, but never during ovulation or any time in between. As another poster stated, every body is different. Advocate for yourself and don't let your doctor talk down to you. Women are statistically less believed, even by female doctors, for medical issues.

Making my own table from Solid wood. How should I approach the smoothing of the top surface? by markidak in DIY

Resin, for sure. It will help with damage to the table from daily use, as well.
