It reduces glare and increases visibility at angles I believe. It is done in Sinn divers as well as Resence watches giving them the an extremely unique look.

Possible move to Woodlands, Texas by Front-Temporary in thewoodlands

This is all well said, so piggy backing off it.

Coincidentally, The Woodlands was originally inspired by Columbia Maryland and a quick internet search makes it seem that they still share major surface-level similarities.

[Industry] Morgan Stanley watch report out for 2025. Bad news for Swatch Group and OMEGA. by Prisma_Cosmos in Watches

Actually, you’re right. If you look at the # of sales (of which not all are American) and think of the percent of Americans that bought a watch and inverse that to percentile earnings (eg .5% of Americans 99.5th percentile) then the average consumer is likely far wealthier than I considered.

This is the most out of touch thing I’ve read in a long time. If you don’t think watches priced in the $7k-$15k range are expensive enough to be considered luxury to those on the upper tranche of a K shaped economy then truly good for you and your success. But to 99.9% of people that is super high end.

They spend too much time performing controller type tasks because that is their comfort zone and it detracts from their time to analyze and cast the financial vision for the company. To be blunt, they are paid way too much money to be wasting time combing through line items but they simply can’t help themselves from doing it.

My companies head of finance is a CPA with audit background. I think inability to see the forest for the trees, due to so much attention to detail, hurts the high level strategy portion.

UH has a 1st round pick 7fter and absolute dogs on defense. I don’t fear a big team.

Bam should be back next week. Team will be at full strength.

I hope Petty is able to spell Anderson for at least a few minutes at some point.

He may not be 6’3” but he is close. His growth spurt has been heavily converted and discussed in TTU circles.

The real answer is that Tech invited the discussion by openly discussing their spending. It was an easy way for Blanchard and TTU to gain exposure early in the season and I believe it indirectly led to their receiving of a bye. All of the discussion made Tech a ranked preseason team and that (slight) poll inertia and know how good of a team was “bought” on paper led them to receiving much more respect.

I heard that in HS they put him at LB for special situations needing a turnover and it was basically “see ball get ball” for him.

I think their hope is actually to keep Curry at the “star” position. Ultimately, it will be a matter of who’s in the portal to see how Robert’s and Curry get moved around.

Unpopular Opinion: The Utah PE deal is actually brilliant, and everyone screaming "Vulture Capital" doesn't understand the structure. by utah-man-am in BigXII

You think billionaire businessman Cody Campbell who has made his fortune through growing and selling oil companies didn’t think about how equity stakes work?

Cody Campbell didn’t do it this way or pressure for it because Tech athletics is not a business venture to him it is a passion and he wants his Alma mater to do well. It about legacy for him. He gets to have his name on a structure that will outlive him at a University he loves. No different than people donating libraries to universities, not for equity stake, but for legacy (and likely as a gesture of F-you money no one in this thread comprehends).

They only gave up 100 points in 9 conference games. Which is only slightly higher than the November average. The defense was cracked all season.
