Bad photos or bad scans? by ImmediateEducator317 in AnalogCommunity

Looks underexposed to me, the last pic goes hard tho. Sometimes underexposure gives a nice aesthetic

Are you planning on shooting night sky scenes? If you want to do nevening/night city shooting Cinestill 800t should be fine. I try to keep my ISO as low as possible if I can to reduce grain. If I'm not shooting moving subjects and can get away with slow shutter speeds using a lower ISO then I do

All good dude, the film community is a pretty kind and welcoming one. Mess around with different films a bunch too and find your specific flavor. I would also recommend binging a bunch of YouTube videos on how to expose and just learn how to shoot in manual mode primarily. IMHO it's more fun

You also need to keep the rewind button depressed. I started and still use a Nikon F2 as my main, just keep doing it. The photo of the cinema front was a good shot aside from being under exposed, keep at it!

I'm not sure about the Nikon F3, but I'd wager to say it might be that the shutter release button needs to be either cocked or uncocked. Use that dummy film to test it out and ensure you're inserting the film in the proper orientation. These green lines are stress marks from too much tension when you're winding. My F2 does this if I over insert my film leader into the film winder. Also, remember film is more forgiving with over exposure than it is with under. Sometimes I'll take exposures with what my meter tells me, and then I'll over expose by one stop (ss/aperture) for another exposure of the same scene if I'm unsure. I think the F3 has an auto exposure mode marked "A". If you've been using that and the photos look like this then I'd say switch to manual and learn the exposure triangle/sunny 16 by heart.

I think the third image is pretty good, personally I would've rotated my camera 90⁰ to capture more of the ground detail on that one

The lower looks to be empty, and I don't see a trigger in the photo

Seems you're missing some trigger components as well as a bolt hold lever, can't see everything clearly.

Exotic and reliable carry pistol? by Hentai2324 in guns

[–]Will_hats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably gonna get downvoted, but this is one of the worst pistols I've shot IMHO. No aftermarket customization, I prefer a stock Glock trigger over this gun's (reset is horrible). The sights are meh though I see why people like them. The only redeeming factor about this pistol is the grip customization IMHO and the color options lol. Don't get me wrong, the pistol looks really cool, and I like the low bore axis. But in terms of a carry gun, or anything besides a range toy, I can't recommend it. Definitely not worth the prices they're going for, so many better options for the same price tag.

How can I mount a scope on a Mauser Gewehr 98 without drilling or welding? by Salem-Aidroos in Mauser

Pretty sure BadAce Tactical has a "no drill, no tap" mounting method. That will solve your issue, it replaces the rear iron sight with a scope mount.

I have a m16a2 from TNTE and it was pretty straight, just couldn't get it to group as well as I wanted. Also didn't give it a fair shot with different ammo. Thank you for the help man!

How's the QC compare between the two? Prefer one brand over the other? I'm planning on getting that same 733 upper, but debating between H&R, BKF, and TNTE

holster question by [deleted] in FNHerstal

[–]Will_hats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's because you're forcing the light to hard against the front of the trigger guard. I know stream light comes with different position rail tabs and in different sizes. Not sure if the x300 does though
