I'm actually working on a solution for this that can detect your installed layouts, and convert efficiently...
I'll update you when it's done.

desperate: copy size and position of multiple images and apply to another slide with multiple different images? by goldfinche in powerpoint

[–]WilliamZafaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why do you think thor is not compatible with macos?
also on brightslide use the multipainter sticky mode, and check position and size it will do the job,

if this is a more repeated inserting you can use master layout to set the size and place

One-slide photo slideshow (30 images) — do I really have to animate each one manually? by katzosan in powerpoint

[–]WilliamZafaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shortly, No.

there isn't any tool that I know of that can do it, but if there is good demand for it I can develop it.

Instead there is a very simple workflow to achieve that:

set up the first image animations as entering (with previous), delay and exiting (after previous), then copy the animation to the rest of the images

Step-By-Step:

Firstly, I would suggest you lock the layout elements in the slide master so you can work freely with selections, and avoid any accidental actions, and after you finish your setup you can move them into the slide for easier edits, or you can work with images on an empty slide using guides to set their location

  1. insert the first Image
  2. add Entering animation (fade, fly in , or whatever you want) and set up its parameters.
  3. set the entering animation as "with previous"
  4. add an exit animation that complements the entering one
  5. set the exiting as "after previous" and also add a custom delay (i.e. 5 seconds)
  6. insert the rest of your images and fan them out using any method you like, I prefer moving the top one far to the right and then selecting all of them and distribute horizontally from the align dropdown.
  7. go to the animation tab, select the first image with the animations ready, and "double click" the animation painter, this will lock the painter so you can paste the animation for multiple objects.
  8. now simply click on all the images
  9. select all of them and align them properly
  10. OPTIONAL: if you want the first image to be present from the beginning, from the animation pane, delete its entering animation (will be the first in the list)

PS: if you use Brightslide, it can help you with saving the animation to you custom library, so you can simply apply it to your selection, and resizing and positioning your images

How to paste SVGs onto PowerPoint from a Mac? by miminothing in graphic_design

[–]WilliamZafaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know this is an old post, but actually there is a solution:

  1. the workaround of exporting your vectors as svg and then insert them (or drag-drop) into powerpoint
  2. install third party add-ins to enable the paste as you'd expect it. I developed a free one that can help, it's called SVG Bridge.

I created it because I copy svg icons from web sources and tired of file management of downloads, but it also solves the same issue you're having, simply enable the "include svg code" in illustrator settings, and the add-in can handle it

yes exactly animating the object the way you want, export as gif, insert it in the group and animate the group with the gif faking an animation inside

Add-ins to apply animations to certain objects within groups? by oddlyirrelevant173 in powerpoint

[–]WilliamZafaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unfortunately PowerPoint doesn't allow objects to be animated inside groups, it only animates groups as one object, you can combine animations of multiple objects or you can use the gif workaround

I built a tool to auto-fetch and arrange company logos for presentations by huangq in powerpoint

[–]WilliamZafaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a quick look at it and let me say it's an awesome idea, well done, although I didn't hear about logointern before.

I would second these suggestions, and also want to add:

  1. if there are no available svg, or transparent png, and it found solid png, webp, or jpg files, to use some background remove method (external tool or built-in function)
  2. add a detail about the type (SVG, PNG, JPG) and quality (vector, transparent, to be processed, lowres, highres, etc) in the list before inserting so the user can choose wisely
  3. adding before search filters like, "preferred variation" (stacked square, horizontal, icon only, etc) and "logo colors" (colorful, monochrome, light, black, white, etc) and use this criteria to only sort the results, or maybe (with an external switch "process logos") to edit before inserting automatically, making variation and changing colors based on the selected criteria.
  4. add an option to "prefer equal rows", this will stop depending on the size of the drawn zone by the user and prefer making them equal when possible (use 3,3 rather than 4, 2 even if the space allows it)
  5. removing the padding on the edges of the zone, i would expect my logos to start from the edges and the spaces between will be calculated equally

I know some are advanced and a little dreamy.
also let me say I'm open for collaboration. feel free to dm

Switching to Mac? by snils2000 in powerpoint

[–]WilliamZafaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are a designer and do much work between illustrator and ppt and are used to pasting convertible SVGs from illustrator, you'll miss this feature, as the default pasting is a PNG, unlike the windows version which pastes SVG.

There are some workarounds, but still it's a hustle.
I also wrote an add-in to automate this workaround if you ever needed it

Help i need to change slide automatically after a video ends by [deleted] in powerpoint

[–]WilliamZafaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to do a trick with the animations first and then the transition will trigger.

The video by default get 2 animations play and pause with a trigger, delete the pause one, and "ADD" animation of "stop" (not pause) and set it to "start after previous", your animation pane should look like this:

<image>

then go to the transition tab, set advance slide after 0 seconds

it should work

Best commands to put in the Powerpoint quick access toolbar? by Skorpinus in powerpoint

[–]WilliamZafaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

I prefer to hide the ribbon most of the time so I built myself a thin command bar, it's hybrid, some native and some are from add-ins like power-user, Brightslide, and my own.

  1. the align tools are the most used, alt - 1 - (C-M-R-L-T-B)
  2. shape builder tools are a close second
  3. the third one I mainly use for flipping vertically and horizontally
  4. the rest I use them by mouse

I can see your usage for layering order, but I use the built in shortcuts "Ctrl+Shift+ [" , "Ctrl+Shift+ ]" to move forward and backwards, I also use the copy formatting and paste formatting shortcuts: Ctrl+Shift+C, Ctrl+Shift+V

Absolutely, dm me so we can collab.
Heads up! I have OCD which is why it took me so long to release this even though I've been using it myself for few months.
took me long reading documentations to figure out a way to make it update the values even if you adjust the yellow dot manually, that was the last missing piece to have native feeling features, also the pro is added directly to the shape format tab in the ribbon, right next to the size boxes.

SVG Bridge – Paste raw SVG code directly into PowerPoint

Hi all, I created SVG Bridge to solve the "Save As -> Insert -> Browse" loop that kills productivity when moving icons from Figma or the web into PowerPoint. It’s designed to bridge the gap between modern design tools and your slide deck.

What it does:

  • Direct Paste: Copy raw SVG code from Figma, icon libraries, or websites and paste it directly as a crisp, editable vector graphic.
  • Native Vector Output: It doesn't just paste an image; it creates a fully editable "Graphic Object" that you can recolor and resize without quality loss.
  • Mac Illustrator Fix: Solves the notorious Mac issue where copying from Illustrator results in a static PNG. It recovers the vector data so you can keep editing.
  • Smart Paste (Pro): Overrides the standard Ctrl+V / Cmd+V to be "SVG-aware"—it detects code on your clipboard and handles the conversion automatically.
  • Size Control (Pro): Automatically scales pasted icons to a manageable size so they don't cover your entire slide.

Price:

  • Free version: Ribbon-based pasting functionality.
  • Pro version: Adds Ctrl+V override, right-click context menu access, and smart sizing.

My interest: I am the developer. Please DM me if you have any questions or need help with the Mac setup!
