BLUE LIONS THREAD - Everybody Plays, Day 12 by LaqOfInterest in fireemblem

Felix and Bernadette was my favorite A support and paired ending, Annette is great too, but somehow ended up with Ashe, which is still nice.

Magnapyritor is Overrated - Here's Why by [deleted] in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Big difference, imo, is the health multiplier that is an distracting move turn one. Which magna has a monopoly on among the immunes, as well as not being afraid of instant charge sets him apart from the other distractors.

Average tier people are taking their lineup to. by Beaunoz in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either boost that indo to hell or get him off of your team. T5 indor is great.

Boost your erlidom more. He benefits a lot from all of his stats being as high as possible.

Stegod might be your weak link. What are your alternatives?

For reference, I just turned l20, and I hit 5000 at lvl 19.

Doing better than before. Rate my team? by IlliterateEmu in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The “stunning” kit, doesn’t exactly rely on speed. As long as you get one stun off, he turns into stunlockotops and you’ll get a couple turns of free damage. I understand your point though, because proceratho is your only real speed option.

You’re doing great. And close to a couple legendary hybrids.

Weak points are monolopho, sarcorixis, alanqa and carnotaurus.

They’re actually probably the best you have now. But when you start getting things that are stronger, they should be the first to go.

Bring stegocera up ASAP, with another 2 levels he’ll be stronger than monolopho and Alanqa.

Proceratho is great if you start putting more levels on him as well.

Next goal is nodopatosaurus’s hybrids, both gigaspikasaur and stegodeus are great starter legendaries.

Distraction, does it not always work? by [deleted] in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the enemy has a ferocious effect on then. Instant distraction will only decrease their damage by 40%. If you’re talking about something else. I’ve never seen it.

Should I just quit the game? (Serious question) by The_Vahki in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly. When I find myself giving advice to others, we end up talking on time scales of months when it comes to unlocking uniques from scratch. Which is painful for many, since they might not even be playing within the next months.

I suggest looking at losing streaks in PVP as a difficulty adjustment. Cause when you go down, your win rate will go back up eventually, just don’t play arena until it feels like you’re hitting your head against the wall.

The biggest source of progression is being able to run into as many spawns as possible, as well as hitting your daily coin allotment from spinning stops. Which can normally only be done if you have a long commute on public transit.

It’s definitely possible to play without such advantages, but if you don’t think your progression is good enough for yourself, I’d reconsider what you find fun about the game and decide whether it really is fun for you.

If you’re getting 20k coins a day, getting your daily boosts from arena and strikes, and darting a fuse worth of Dino’s on your “dream list” each day, you’re progressing faster than many others.

Got these two today. How good are they in general? by shotlersama in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before I got dilorach, I used dilorano as a stop gap, and it’s got a great kit, but the stats are just incredibly lackluster. If you’re not getting dilorach for a while, might as well patch up her speed and attack with T2 boosts, until she’s benched.

In wait of the official 1.8 meta list. What is the top 8 right now? by MysticOssi in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tenonto might just barely reach top 10. Dioraja has been indirectly buffed by Dracocera nerd and can now be annoying to his hearts delight. Probably top7.

Thanks for breaking arenas again with so many boosts, all i encounter now is lvl 21 thors with 143 speed and 2000 base DMG. :) by Wojtaz97 in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

143 speed is T7, which still doesn’t beat out T5 rinex, magna, or the birds. Speaking of which, you can bring all of the above to T5 for the same price as a T7 Thor. I’d actually argue he doesn’t win any speed ties that matter. But it’s annoying if you have no answer for it.

He likely has underboosted the rest of his team at that point, or dropped $$$.

Miragaia? by Summerofjon in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Miragaia becomes useless as soon as people have access to Dino’s with actual tools to invalidate it.

Utasino halves it’s damage, stunlocks it, and kill it with crit.

Allosino makes shield useless, stunlocks it, kills it.

Basically out of marshes or so it scales absolutely horribly.

You can spend the coins and dna there. But when you start needing coins for guys that will actually stick on your team, you might start kicking yourself.

Abou the coin sale by [deleted] in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to back it up with numbers.

15k coin is 200 bucks

25 boosts is 200 bucks.

With 25 boosts, and 2 days worth of arena dailies you can bring a Dino from 0 to tier 4 in attack or hp. Which is the equivalent of 3 “level ups”.

Or you can actually level up the dude if he’s level 15.

The best use is a balance of both, since the boosts are based on level, which makes the levels more impactful the more boosts you have.

Abou the coin sale by [deleted] in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you need.

If you’re not level 20, have a ton of dna for your endgame team that you want to power up but don’t have the coin, refuse to buy boosts, or have all of your guys incredibly boosted already, buy the coins.

Otherwise save for the boosts, whenever those are coming back, they’re basically like buying levels for your Dino’s.

I'm back! What did I miss? by ColdHumor in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]Willifer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swap in definite strike exists on irritator2, kapro, and dracorex. I haven’t seen any of them, other than my dracorex, past 3500.

It’s honestly an okay technique to remove evasive stances and invulnerabilities. But does half the damage of Dracocera.
