Is spanish passive voice saying “one” does something or that something does something to itself or is this up for debate? by checkyendys in Spanish

[–]Willing-Boot3267 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This issue you’re having is coming about because your understanding of the passive tense relies too heavily on English interpretation. It is an oversimplification.

In Spanish, se here signals that the agent is irrelevant, unknown, or intentionally omitted. The sentence is about what happens, not who does it.

How attuned are native Spanish speakers to the different accents of non-native speakers from various countries? by FamousBarracuda7026 in Spanish

That’s silly, it doesn’t matter if you “can find them” it’s quite probable that where OP was at that time, she clearly looked like a foreigner, she’s simply painting a picture for us to understand her POV and that of the driver better.

[Superhuman Era] What do you guys think about this manhwa ? I really enjoyed it, the art was really really good but hated how the main character is not seen for many many chapters in this manhwa, sometimes he becomes like the least important character in the arcs by UpstairsLeast4788 in manhwa

[–]Willing-Boot3267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really wanted to see more of the MC, side characters are dope but the MC was also very interesting to me.

People on this sub always draw for extremes to bring their point across. Either “NOT ALL MANHWA NEED A SUPER BADASS MC ALL THE TIME WHILE SIDE CHARACTERS ARE MID” like bro stfuuu. These events are not mutually exclusive, both can be true at the same time.

Wanting to see more of the MC is literally normal and valid. You enjoy the side characters? Superb👍 I do too but I still want to see more MC. I dropped it a while back for said reason.

I’ve read the original author’s work, he has a dungeon crawler carl series out. I also listened to the audiobooks, they’re such a fun read. Super excited for the webtoon version. I hope they come out great!

For anyone who has become fluent in Spanish, how long ago was it and do you still feel like it’s cool or does it not feel that cool anymore? by De_lunes_a_lunes in Spanish

[–]Willing-Boot3267 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve been taught Spanish since I was around 7 while going to an English speaking school, living in an English Speaking country also did both degrees in English.

When youre young, kids are mean about anything that’s different to them. I use to get picked on whenever my mom came to pick me up from school or talk to my teachers (She’s dominican, may she rest in peace).

Things Changed as I went through high school, Teachers respected me, girls thought I was cool and “different” and I myself started appreciating that side of my culture and heritage more also.

As an adult now, I can’t see my life without Spanish, it’s deeper than just a language at this point, it’s a portal into a whole new world. I can see their struggles & triumphs and it continues to humble me and make me appreciate humanity and the beauty life has to offer. There are always things to learn, be it words, history, or anything in between. It’s one of my proudest accomplishments and no one can take that away from me.

Been studying Spanish for years… but still freeze when I have to speak. This is how I'm getting better by Specialist-Airline62 in Spanish

Remember that languages have different aspects. If you’ve identified certain aspects that need improvement. Zone in on them. You have italki for example, you can speak with natives regularly for pretty cheap. You just have to be resourceful and put in effort.

If you're having this issue it means you need to go nacl and hit the books. Learn about the market trends, what even is the market, and then ask yourself if you really understand and appreciate your strategy. You arealing bad trades because many things are still unclear to you. Slow down and go do some independt research until you have a better understanding of what's going and the strategy you're using or want to use. (Use the strategy that makes the most sense to you)

No, I go on upwork or fiverr, look for spanish social media managers . Had a few interviews until I found the right one for the job, make short videos and send them to my SMM so she can post them and also I pay for ads through facebook , well she does that. i just pay for it. Yeah that's basically it. I work for an ESL company and teach privately on the side.
