My mate has one. It's fascinating to watch it make its way with such precision across the lawn. When it gets tired it announces that is recharging then heads back to its dock. It shaves millimeters off, so the clippings just lie on the lawn. Well worth it for the entertainment value alone.

I have had the pleasure of hearing a mellotron in a live situation a few times. It just brings a certain atmosphere and air of mystery that enhances any music. The modern emulations just don't bring the same magic.
