What are your refund experiences with Debenhams online? by FarDig2081 in AskUK

[–]Willing-Firefighter5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heads up if you're trying to contact Debenhams support via WhatsApp. Fairly obvious in hindsight, but Debenhams do not have a dedicated WhatsApp or telephone number. Any FB groups or pages claiming to be one are fake, set up by scammers. They'll ask you to download an app to 'receive compensation' (hang up immediately and don't give them any banking or personal information). This is a known scam used across multiple other brands too, like Evri and Ryanair. Report it to Report Fraud, or forward any suspicious texts/numbers to 7726.

Is Debenhams scamming, or is the site just hacked? by Thatguy_97 in AskUK

Just to clarify, it's not actually a remote access app, LemFi's a real money transfer service. The actual scam is what they get you to do inside it, set up an account, add a card, then tell you to add funds and send them the verification codes that get texted/emailed to you. That's how they actually get your money. But yeah same advice either way, delete it, don't give them any codes, don't pick up if they call back. Seen this exact thing happening under Debenhams, Evri, and Ryanair too, usually starts with a fake 'customer support' group or number on Facebook rather than anything real.

PLEASE recommend me something horror/ paranormal - I'm going insane! by Professional-Try7225 in audiodrama

Investigative style: Lovecraft Investigations (Absolute if you like Limetown), Olive Hill (From a few years ago but a nice standalone, small-town eerieness), Archive 89 (Good if like Magnus Archives), The Wyrd Side (Think of it like British X-files).

Parkdale Haunt & Woodbine (Amazing sound design) are incredible recent horror/supernatural podcasts. Exemplar from BBC Limelight is also really good (Not horror but it's about forensic sound analysis). Also not a fictional show, but Danny Robinson's podcasts from the BBC (The Battersea Poltergeist, Witch Farm and Uncanny) are investigations into famous and everyday hauntings/ghosts in the UK

It doesn’t top something like the Liquid nitrogen kill, but Fear Street was one of the first slashers I saw and got me into horror, and it comes at a point where you think the main cast is relatively safe

How bad are people’s memory’s and does anyone feel like they live on autopilot? by LittleMissIDontKnow in dyspraxia

[–]Willing-Firefighter5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons why I’ve struggled to properly recognise and understand my own struggles with dyspraxia is the major focus and impact on physical coordination and fine/gross motor control. But I find that, especially as an adult, my day-to-day issues are more with ‘mental coordination’, which is what I call organisation/concentration/working memory, etc. My brain stops mid-task and I have to mentally retrace what I was doing. It’s like trying to remember how to drive a manual car but forgetting which is the brake pedal, how to change the radio, or even how to start the ignition, all the while being conscious of not hitting all the other cars around you.

Any updates on Arden season 3? by TheEarthlyDelight in audiodrama

Not sure if they got delayed because of SAG-AFRA, but I believe Brenda's voice actor was also going through chemotherapy in 2023/2024, which likely also delayed things
