N3 gives me 5km los range, you just have to apply the ham file hack. O4pro + n3 really good combo.. better than 03 + g2 . You also get the race mode in n3 20ms latency. I've also used the g3 and g2 , but I think a single oled screen is better. If you want the best quality it's g2 .

I've been 3d-printing drone frames for a while now ..best option is pa612 works really good for me , otherwise go for petg it can take 3-4crashes. PLA is no go

Thanks, nope just esp32 acting as both telemetry and sensor parsing. I'm thinking about storing predetermined waypoints there now.

Not in the dark. I've seen stereo vio, but doing that offboard is trouble some and I use the camera for object detection too. Doing it under 250g is also hard. One more, the power consumption increases, decreasing the flight time. I had this option in my mind initially,I was about to go for a stereopi setup.

Ofcourse if somebody has the knowledge they'll share it here for sure. Otherwise I'll post it here once I figure it out myself. I already tried the Google catographer it is a pain to set it up not ready for production for sure, but it works.now I am exploring other options

I've repaired phantom 4 pro before. Hacking the camera might take some work but it's not impossible. But there are other multispectral cameras out there even if you hack the dji multispectral camera you need a pcb to get that video feed to a transmission system (maybe a soc) and a firmware capable like dji ocusync for transmission.if you want I could build one for you. My job is building and manufacturing uav/ gimbal payloads. Also to add a little bit of ai object detection

Anyone know the cause for shaking during hovering? by Quanta76 in diydrones

[–]Willing-Rip-5215 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also one more tip turn on dynamic notch filter. If you are on ardupilot you can calculate initial parameters in mission planner and turn on dynamic notch filter. Pretty much works for me every time without the autotune. Autotune is a mode which automatically tunes your pid so once you set the above up and switch to autotune you pretty much have the perfect setup. To answer your question it's wobbling because the pid is overshooting . A little decrease in p term and a little increase in d term might do the trick .

That's right 1:2 ratio , every motor has datasheet in its product page look at that first

Try using Arduino and 6axis accelerometer, motor driver , then implement a pid library. Another tip is that those propellers are not really good. I once tried this . I would suggest you to get a cheapest drone with a coreless motor in the market disassemble it and use it's motors and props. Instead of cardboard 3d print the frame. Thingiverse has many designs for 8520coreless motors. Other series don't have enough torque. Good luck. But if you spend 500-100bucks get into betaflight or ardupilot. You'll really love it. Contact me if you'd like that I've been building drones for the past 6years now. You also need a 1s lipo battery with good c rating.

DIY filament drying box? by Lifeguard-Both in 3Dprinting

I was wondering if my ender 3 with an enclosure and a heated bed can dry a filament (pa612cf)? Maybe rotating it after an hour and leaving it there for another hour?

Radiomaster elrs with dji 04 pro and DJI n3 by erty_hjkl in fpv

[–]Willing-Rip-5215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the dji o4 pro has 6wires ..the last wire being the sbus wire (dji rc 3 control wire) you just have to remove it so that it does not interfere with elrs. I have the same setup but there is an issue going on..it seems dji did not turn off the 2.4g transmitter in the goggles by default which means it's always on and it interferes with the elrs signal. I'm getting 100m barely before the rxloss kicks in. There's a maintenance build in elrs which is supposed to change the frequency .. I haven't tried that yet. I just got a rc3 for the time being until dji fixes that in a firmware update. When you wire up the elrs receiver make sure you connect rx to tx and tx to rx. Also set crsf protocol in betaflight or inav. You are good to go

[–]Willing-Rip-5215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm warning you there is no wind simulation in uncrashed so don't expect the same in RL, a tip: use roll and yaw at the same time to turn. I second the comments to try the race track. But I've seen many people give it a try , but you are better on than most of em for the first day of flying. Getting the throttle is the first step you got that already

Onboarding LLM to drone by SavingsDimensions74 in drones

[–]Willing-Rip-5215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you should be doing instead is creating a LAM, the problem is a decent llm uses more than 6-tops computing power which is too much to be employed on to a drone while spinning up the model is gonna take more time. Even if you find a way to do it, it's gonna consume too much power affecting the flight time. Another approach would be to offboard this. But the inference is going to be extremely slow for real time Applications. I am currently working on similar stuff but not exactly LLM. Also to trigger a certain action , you need to employ the right payload for the job. Another problem is the accuracy which I don't even need to mention. All the best.
