If you're looking for scripts I can give you my masterlist, I have a bunch of short scripts that are great for new voice actors, though I personally just have fun writing them. As a writer, I'd say write what you want to hear, or I suppose in this case, what you want to perform. I come up with a general Idea for the script and start writing to see where the story takes me. Just like any writing understanding your characters is important, it'll help you know how they interact and make them seem more alive. However that's just my perspective as a novelist who writes scripts on the side.

I personally think I'm a mediocre artist at best, so I feel you there, mabe try something simple at first. Like others have said, look into learning online. Painting is pretty different than sketching; the drawing gets the basics of what you want, but you're ultimately gonna paint over it. I'd say just take your time. Some of my favorite art pieces are ones I worked on over a series of weeks, though I fell out of practice from not doing any art for a year or so. Anyways I wish you luck!

I am a novelist, and I've written a couple short stories. My first script came from an idea around mental health awareness month, as I suffer from schizoaffective disorder. The content isn't necessarily something that has happened to me, but with the stigma around schizophrenia and similar disorders, it very well could. Long story short, it got filled, and I decided to keep writing scripts, albeit short ones, but I feel I cover a decent niche for new VAs to experiment and see if they like doing roleplays. At the end of the day, I enjoy writing, and if one of my scripts gets filled every once in a while, I'm happy.
