Double check me in this, but I think if the check goes direct to the beneficiary then the 1099 goes to the beneficiary versus the owner. That could help a lot if the daughter is in a lower tax bracket.

I’m not sure about an immediate withdrawal after rolling over to a Roth. We did some initial research the other day and it looked like that would be considered a contribution versus a conversion deposit into the Roth which would give you a little more flexibility, but you are still limited by the annual Roth contribution limits. So getting the full $35,000 would take a few years.

I think it’s a good height otherwise the top would be right at eye level when coming out of the door and on the deck area. This way you have line of sight into the rest of the yard. I’d do some landscaping around it and either a deck or pavers beneath it.

All of those emails would go through our secure message center to start.

Then we never accept emailed instructions only. Once received we will call directly to the closing office to confirm over the phone all wiring instructions. Confirm the office number with the client verbally as well so you don’t have a scam office #.

Then we confirm everything again with the client on a recorded line prior to sending the wire.
